I suppose that would be counterproductive to raising cash for ASFN.

What a weird conglomeration. So how do new books here get linked there?

Pretty sure it's just their inventory.
Basically, we're just an affiliate. We get a small percentage of the sales made through our storefront.
It's just their way to get others to do promotion and marketing for them. And they pay a little commission for it.
It's kind of cool though I think...I mean, I certainly will be buying stuff from it when I need stuff on Amazon...like a little discount.

I was expecting something like this:
http://www.buy.at/edalemountainrescue
There's a button to go a certain site. If you get to the site (eg, Amazon) via that button, a portion of the revenue goes to the originating site.

When I clicked the link, I expected it to go the full site. I'm not really sure why Amazon would set up this other thing. It's kinda weird.

They may have changed the way they do things...that site you posted looks like it could be a bit older? I dunno, but I can find no way to just link to Amazon.com with a referral ID.

Could be. I'm still trying to think of a site where I've seen it done that way (so bear with me while the hamsters do their thing).
I think I've seen bn.com linked to, as well.

Is there any way we can track how much business we give them? I'd be curious.
