Why I Hate Trade Threads
I have no idea why all the Kobe/KG/Marion threads are on the main board since they are all trade threads. No matter how they were started, there is no way to have a thread on any of these without turning into a trade thread.
What is worse, it seems like there are an unlimited number of modified proposals. It reminds me of the workings of an organization using Roberts Rules where someone makes a proposal, which immediately produces and amendment, which immediate produces an amendment to the amendment leading to an amendment to the amendment to the amendment... in a kind of infinite regress. By the end of the first page of posts, it is almost impossible to figure out what is even being discussed.
But it's worse than that. There is amazingly little content because every proposal involves unstated assumptions based on personal opinion. Unfortunately, the more subjective the statement or opinion; the more likely their statements will be come strident and insulting toward anyone who disagrees. It gets really old.

I guess the only logical thing to do would be to not enter in the Trade Forum at all, and be selective what posts you look at in the Suns forum?

I've been avoiding making posts on them.
I would like to see all those threads moved to the Trade forum.

Just contact the right administator, and I'm sure you can get them squelched again.

What's the difference between this and posting 50,000 threads about who the Suns will pick at #24? I thought there was only one, yet you seem to love to post 2 or 3 new ones every day.

Unfortunately, at this time of year (leading up to the draft), there's very little you can talk about in this forum, thus we're subject to all the "Let's Trade Marion or Diaw and Banks for (Fill In the Blanks)" threads.

maybe this thread should be retitled:
"I hate when there's actually activity in the Suns forum, bumping superfluous/relatively uninteresting (as evidenced from post count) threads about late 1st round picks."

I only suggested they get moved to the trade forum.
I will admit I am more interested in the draft than the trade scenrios. 50,000 threads does sound like something of an exaggeration, but I realize that I'm looking for dialogue on some of these guys I've never seen. Every few days there is more information on the draft and how the players rank. I've tried to stick to the prospects thread on individual players, but most of my threads were on who was worked out each day by the Suns.
I will admit I did a roughly similar analysis about three days ago when I looked at whether there was someone worth trading up for. My new profile was based on the major update by DX which is the order I was using. But in ancy case, tt seems like there are at least a few other people who are interested in the draft.
Unfortunately, it sounds like there is a belief that if we think about the draft it means we are giving up on the trade.
In my case, I find it more interesting to hear other views on some of the players in the draft. IMHO, there just isn't that much new being said on KG threads listed below (plus several other smaller threads)
Minnesota Fan Source Reports KG in talks with Suns - 43 pages
Marc stein - KG wants SUNNNNSSSS!!! - 22 pages
Agent: "Garnett not interested in becoming a Celtic" - 6 pages
NBA Soures Confirm Suns Talking to Wolves About KG - 7 pages

george, KG is just a MUCH BIGGER STORY that apparently continues to have traction with new info seemiongly coming every 12 hours of some sort or another. Why that's gonna get more traction than two late first round picks is pretty obvious to me, not sure why it's so confusing to you.

Well the Garnett rumors are pertinent enough to keep in the main forum.
I moved some of the random "Trade Marion for these guys" threads in here because they aren't national rumors.

This was another way of saying what I meant.
Obviously the vast majority of the board wants to hear all the Garnett rumors regardless of where they are to.
While I could move the trade suggestions to this board within the threads, it is a massive pain in the ass and really isn't worth the time.

The mega threads (43 pages !) DO NOT need to be consolidated. They are hopeless as it is. If anything, it would make sense to have a separate thread for each piece of external news rather than looking on page 30 of a 45 page thread.
I'm still not convinced that real trade proposals shouldn't be on the trade forum, but that's just my personal preference.
