We need to make a trade...

I know it is early in the season, but Raja Bell is not getting it done on the kickouts in the corner from Nash, which is vintage Phoenix Suns basketball. This is not the same Suns team as the last few years, and the reason is we don't have a duo of corner three point shooters to spread the court and allow Marion and Stoudemire to wreck havoc.

The solution to this is Mike Miller. Think if the Suns were to offer Marion they could receive Mike Miller and Hakim Warrick (a highflying, fast power forward).

I agree we don't have the shooters this year, but if we make this deal, our already horrific defense/rebounding gets TEN times worse. Marion's the only one battling for boards. This team, as it looks right now, and as I feared throughout the offseason is old, small and just not put together very well.

Im starting to agree we need to make some kind of change because we just don't look like the same team and we have given up 50 pts to the heat without wade... i'm sorry but that should not happen . Is their any good defense playes in fa that we could bring in other then P.J Brown because I don't think were getting him

The main problems this year so far are...

A. Team Chemistry is poor... We have no identity yet. This is not the same run and gun team of old. No Joe Johnson, no Quentin Richardson, no James Jones.

B. Neither Raja Bell nor Grant Hill have been hitting corner threes this season and have been given NUMBEROUS looks. Barbosa might need to be the corner 3 guy this season.

C. Neither Grant Hill nor Barbosa have been used to their strengths. Grant Hill and Barbosa are scorers, Grant Hill especially is being used wrong, he should be making cuts behind Nash to the basket.

D. Amare isn't being himself.

E. Brian Skinner and the rest of the bench sucks.

so my prediction of the lakers winning the pacific may not be too far fetched...

i agree with cheese, nash is looking old and we are just way too small. i'm fearing teams (not named the spurs) have finally figured a way to combat dantoni's system.

Yikes, Mike Miller would be a beast on the Suns.

Thank goodness that hasn't happened!

whoa, whoa, whoa! I'd just like to say that I never said Nash was looking old, just the team in general. Nash looks like one of the only guys playing out there.

but yeah, we're midgets and we're not nearly as athletic or as good from the perimeter as we used to be. That's a big problem.

Raja was never a consistent shooter except for his first year as a Suns.

Barbosa better come out of the funk and so far today it looks like he has started.

Amare has been in and out. He will need 2-3 game to come back into the flow of things.

Give this team another 4-5 game together. I think they will figure it out. Didn't similar thing happenned last year. In fact, we were worse. However, don't except this team to be defensive stalwarts.

we lost the first few games last year, but I don't know if I ever thought the looked as bad as they have looked in spurts this season. 60 points to a Wade-less Heat that is giving Penny Hardaway and Smush Parker extended minutes, and an offense that focuses around Ricky Davis and a fat old Shaq... PATHETIC.

ok ok, so you didnt say nash, but i am. he just looks a step slower to me this year. i can count on 1 hand how many times ive seen him penetrate to the basket and try a layup. he's not sucking in the defense and kicking it out to the wide open perimeter guys like he has been. i think they are also having to rely on nash too much to score, which in the past is usually never a good thing for the suns.

I've believed since draft night the Suns will use the Atl pick in some sort of package to try to solidify their pathetic front court defense/rebounding, even though I doubt it will put them over the hump. Trading Marion for a package of Mike Miller and filler does not solve the teams problems.

The best option out there right now isnt Mike Miller but the other Miller, Brad Miller.

While he might not be a total beast anymore hes still good enough to help us out bigtime.
