Trade Marion ideas (if he blocks KG trade)....

I'm in the boat that is HIGHLY concerned about team chemistry (Marion specificallly) if the KG trade doesn't go down. So, I wanted to create this thread to prevent 100 others from cropping up in the instance that KG to PHX fails to happen....

Post your Marion trade ideas here!!!

Marion/#29 to CHA for Wallace (s&t)/May/#22

Start Wallace around 6yrs/$66M, or something in that neighborhood....

Marion to SEA for Lewis (s&t)/Collison

Start Lewis around 6yrs/$72M....

No chance. Why would Charlotte rather have Marion than pay 1/3 as much to Wallace? He's a RFA so they can match any offer.

Possible if they're convinced Lewis is gone and they want to make the team as competitive as possible right away in an attempt to stay in Seattle.

Do people want to save money or win a championship? I'm getting muddled here.

Repeat after me:

No team with cap space will sign a role player (Marion) for max!

GS, Portland, Boston, maybe Seattle, I don't see any other team that would trade for Marion with substantial assets rather than swapping bad contracts with us.

So, Marion to Portland for Randolf (for a 3rd team) and Jack, or to GS for JRich + fillers and pick might be the best bet after Boston's.

The chemistry will be the same as last year if Marion is still here. Perhaps a little better even knowing that Amare is key and working hard - not just waiting on the sidelines for some gift time on the floor. What, do you think that the players think that Marion could have landed the Suns Garnett? No way. That is a fan boards' pipe dream. Do dreams come true? Sure, sometimes. But Nash and Amare aren't sitting around stewing thinking that Marion is screwing something up. Just my opinion.

But if Marion has to be traded due to cap reasons - the only reason he would HAVE to be traded - then the goal is cap relief. Who is going to help the Suns out with that? Not many.

I still like the Marion for Sheed ideas. Marion and 29 for Sheed and 15 is good enough for me.

Marion is not going anywhere with his opt out clause. It's just too risky.

Dumars publicly rejected that one so fast it would make your head spin. It was all just one Detroit columnist who was frustrated by how bad the Pistons looked. But this was NEVER a serious posibility.

Im not that worried about chemistry. They dont show it on the floor, so I dont find it a serious issue.

Depth is our biggest weakness right now imo.

Dumars didn't reject the above scenario. He rejected 2 starters + 2 picks for Marion.

Sheed, Delfino and #15 would have done the deal, I guess.

That too. The Suns did not want Sheed and the Pistons did not want Marion. Besides that, I guess we've got a deal.
