No, but it's the highest pick the Suns have. If they want to make a trade, they have to offer something.
I am starting to believe that the Suns pick this year might be more valuable than Atlanta's next year. This draft certainly looks better than next year's. Of course that is easy to say before the draft and season is played.
If we see Atlanta's pick as a mid round pick in an average draft than GMs likely do as well.

It's easy to project mid-round, that's what Atlanta was projected to be the last 2 years. And yet, there hasn't been any changes. Will that happen this year? I don't know, and I'm not about to prognosticate about it because, well, we just don't know with that franchise.

I fear the Hawks pick will be worth very little, considering our luck with the Chicago pick and this year's pick. Let's hope that third time's the charm.
I have noticed this is one of the most traded pieces people offer.
Does anyone believe it has any significant value outside of a mid-first round pick?
It gives the Suns 3 number ones in the next 2 drafts to deal with. If I'm a GM in full rebuild mode that extra pick might be just enough to get me to make a deal.
Teams that have only their own picks can't trade successive #1's.
It's an unkown but I would bet money that ATL is in the lotto again next year and they're taliking about weigting it less so a lower lotto team has an even better chance of getting in the top 3.
I fully expect its being in the top 10, with a slight chance to be top 3. If Hawks don't get Conley, it'd be wise for them to get this pick back for this year's #11 plus something.
Considering what happened this year, I would put money on the NBA going the other direction with the Lotto set-up.
I disagree, I think they're more concerned with the tanking.
It almost seems like the league fixed this years lotto to punish Boston and the other tankers. They only let Atlanta win because they hate the Suns more.
Luck doesn't carry forward. It happens in the moment. Our luck up until the day of the lottery (if Atlanta ends up there) makes no difference. Luck is luck. We could get the #1 pick. We could.
