Suns - Nets Proposal

I don't know why but Nets fans somehow seem to desperately want to trade Carter or Jefferson plus a pick for Shawn Marion.

Marion, Banks for Jefferson, Robinson, Nachbar and #17.

Should save us roughly 3M$ next season after #17 is signed. Robinson and Nachbar are both expiring contracts.

Carter is a FA

Jefferson may fit here but I dont see us getting better by trading marion away for those 3

Robinson as in Clifford Robinson? HA!

Nachbar? Are you serious?

Did you think this through?

Jefferson to me is every bit as good a player as Marion, the only question is his health.

Imo better one on one defender and better offensive player, much better passer, better in the halfcourt.

Marion is more versatile, gets more boards and is pretty much never injured but that is it.

Jefferson would be intriguing in a Suns Uniform. I can tell you that Cliffy would NEVER dawn a Suns Jersey again though.

Why wouldn't he..
Besides he is simply in there for salary purposes anyway.

The organization would never let Clifford Robinson back in here because of the "events" that took place right before he left. They wanted him gone the last time. He would probably be delt again or something because I don't think he would ever suit up again for the Suns.

Add on a S&T of Mikki Moore instead of Robinson and I'd consider it.

60% FG on a 7footer never hurts

The "events" .. be more specific please...

Antonio McDyess suited up for the Suns again. I have a feeling Jason Kidd possibly could at the end of his career. There is just one player in the NBA that I am absolutely sure of will never suit up for the Suns, Robert Horry.

And again, Robinson is a 2M$ expiring contract that is the bottom line, he is like 40 years old and nobody even cares if he ever suits up again or retired. He is just there to make the deal work as it already stresses out the 125% rule to the maximum almost.

Correct me if I am wrong but Cliffy has several run ins with the law at the end of his stay. I remember the media repeatedly was saying the organization was done with him at the time.

They once found pot in his car that is about all I can remember, hardly a deal breaker.

Are you crazy? Jefferson is a great replacement for Shawn Marion -- I think Shawn is a marginally better player right now, but Jefferson is still relatively young and the guy is one of the best athletes in the league.

Nachbar, IMO is underrated.

Nachbar is just fodder to me, I guess Nets fans regard him highly and want different fillers. I honestly don't care.

Jefferson is "only" 2 years younger than Marion.

Im warming up to the idea of jefferson moore nachbar. It would also be closer to the 125%

The whole idea of robinson in there threw me off.

Moore is a FA and will likely get the full MLE, meaning grossly overpaid. He is a one-year wonder.

Jersey wants to trade Jefferson for a big not another small forward who is older. I think a better trade for them would be Jefferson and filler to Indy for O'Neal
