Suns/Bulls deal if D'Antoni is Bulls coach

Let me preface this with some of the outcry that we should get what we can for Nash now before he "breaks down" too much more, even though he only has one more year guaranteed.

This would have to be a back-door deal conceived prior to the draft but consummated AFTER free agent signings are allowed (roughly 15 July)

Nash/Barbosa/Diaw/#15 pick (we pick who Bulls want)

for

Gooden/Deng (or Nocioni---S&T @ $8.5mil)/Duhon (S&T @ $5mil)/Gordon (S&T @ $7mil)/Sefalosha

then split the MLE between Giricek and Skinner.
The Suns have better defense and depth in the deal.

Gives the Suns a new line-up of:

Duhon/Gordon/DJ
Hill/Bell/Tucker
Deng/Giricek/Sefalosha
Amare/Gooden
Shaq/Skinner

Gives the Bulls a better start for D'Antoni with Nash/Barbosa/Diaw/Ty Thomas/Noah/Gray to go with picks #9/#15/#39
They'll have the opportunity to re-sign Nocioni (in all honesty I wouldn't care if we get Deng or Nocioni in the deal as long as the other pieces are involved. They can then trade Hinrich for more pieces as well.

Gordon and Deng get more than that. And I'm not sure that Paxon would gamble on the last legs of the aging Nash. If I were him, I'd stay pat with the Bulls roster. It's a safer strategy.

That lineup is crippled in the 3pt shooting and PG departments.

and tell me why the bulls touch this. they have gobs and gobs of youth. trading some of that youth for an aging Nash doesnt make sense. once their remaining youth matures, Nash will be gone.

Interesting concept.
On another note....i'd like to know exactly WTF D'Antoni's gonna do with a player like Joakim Noah? I've heard ideas of having him play the "Marion" role but i'm sorry,Noah(at this point in his young career)wouldn't be able to score enough to get off the bench in D'Antoni's system. Maybe Mike could talk Paxson into trading Noah + player/picks to us for his "boys" Diaw & Barbosa.
