With all the talk of Marion for Rasheed, people just forgot that Pistons don't need another SF with 16mil price tag next to Prince.
What about Blazers? With Oden and Aldridge, they don't need Randolph anymore. With Roy they are set at SG and if they don't get Conley for Randolph somehow, they might be interest in getting a good SF for him. So, 3 way with
Marion to Blazers,
Randolph to Pistons, and
Rasheed to Suns
as the core pieces plus whatever small parts need to be moved. Rasheed doesn't want to play lowpost much so Pistons swaps him for Randolph and get a much more balanced offense.

Wouldn't the Blazers just want Wallace for themselv... BWAHAHAHAH OOPS NEVER MIND SORRY.
LOL. You know its funny though, I was talking to Henry Abbott from TrueHoop (big blazer fan) and he was talking about how if Portland didn't have a history with him he would actually make some sense

i like marion, and i dont like sheed. that being said i still feel marion is a better defender because he can guard 1-5. we saw that in game 5 if we feed him the ball more he can score just fine (because we didnt go back to him in the 2nd half) and when hes at the 4, few teams can match up to him. rasheed on the other hand can guard 4-5 well, but isnt too hard to defend with a guy like marion/camby etc etc.

omg, how many times do we have to type the same thing??? just because dantoni makes him guard players 1 - 5 doesn't mean he's EFFECTIVE guarding them? if he gets lit up by parker and duncan, sure he GUARDED them, but he got torched by them too. that's no benefit. if rasheed guards one position or two positions well it's MUCH superior to marion guarding 5 positions poorly.

marion did a decent job on parker. the suns wanted to force him into being a jump shooter and he was. he really made an uncharacteristically high amount of mid range shots. thats not totally marions fault. now marion on duncan was usually on a switch or when he came to double, and tim duncan is the best PF to play the game so thats really a mismatch for him but he still did a semi-decent job imo.

Let him shoot jumpers does not imply shoot uncontested, wide open 10-15 footers, that will result in high % even for an average shooter in the NBA. Vaughns even did to us in game 6. Did Bowen give anything easy to Nash?

thats a very good point. but i think marion just got too concerned with driving that he didnt get up to contest some shots. or maybe it was the refs calls that scared him off of playing the way bowen did. but lets say this, if we get rasheed for marion, what are our defensive matchups going to be? nash on parker ?

What don't people understand?!?!?!?
Nash on Parker with Wallace and Stoudemire behind Nash >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Marion on Parker
It really is simple. Nash plays TP in a way that forces him into the strength of the D (Stoud and Sheed) instead of Marion chasing TP around the perimeter and Parker being able to drive in for an uncontested layup....

With Rasheed for Marion, we'll need to add some cheap defensive minded swingmen. Griffin? Buckner? Pietrus? Bell is too slow for Parker, but I still have hope that LB might finally learn how to defend.
