Some of these are really really bad. Like trades where Ricky Davis is the best player we get in return for Marion, thats plain silly.

What were your criteria for making these up? Most of them are horribly lopsided one way or the other.

Richard Jefferson (if acquired) would be Grant Hill's backup? Seriously?

I mentioned the IND trade but would much rather have Diogu than Harrison.

I would like the MIL deal but we would have to to decide on either Bogut or Villanueva as MIL won't unload both.

Eh, i like number 1 a tiny bit. But two would be horrible. How bout Marion/Banks for Kobe? Lakers could use Banks at PG, and Marion in Kobe's place. And Suns need to get rid of Banks. (Didn't meet expectations at all) Kobe....well Kobe on the suns? Come on now, that would be beautiful, if he got along with the others, and passed the ball more....may ruin the chemistry though.

Some solid ideas.

1. If we have to deal Marion to the Lakers, at least switch Cook to Vujacic's expiring.

2.-3.-12. LAL won't deal Kobe, TOR won't deal Bargnani, MIL won't deal Bogut and the Bucks would loose their entire frontcourt.

4. Wilcox is too similar to Amare, Wally is damaged, the Sonics would have too much SF's with Marion, Durant and Green.

5. Good one.

6. I'm scared of Kirilenko's injuries and inconsistency.

7. Not bad. Take out Pachulia and Banks and the Hawks may consider it.

8. Change Smith and Diawara to Najera else DEN wouldn't have any swigmen. I don't really see where would Marion play for the Nuggets and he would still whine behind AI and Anthony.

9. Again, not bad, although Maxiell and Mohammed would get a combined 1.5 min/game from D'Antoni.

10. Solid deal.

12. Yes, at least change Harrison to Diogu and it's still questionable for the Suns.

13.-15. Terrible for the Suns.

14. Not sure that either team would do it.

16. I would prefer my idea: Marion, Banks for Butler, Daniels, Haywood.

Someone suggested somewhere Marion (+Pike) for JWill + Haslem + Wright + pick.

It sounds not bad to me.

My anti-fashion visions of past and present:
#1. "Trade Marion!"
#2. "Less is more!" Nash needs to play more off-ball like Stockton.
#3. Amare will be as good as Karl Malone, barring further severe injuries!

ad #2: .. Gentry felt Nash's teammates were watching him too much and the offense had become stagnant.... "We felt like we were wearing Steve down," Gentry said. "He had the ball all the time, and he was making all the plays. .... One of the things we looked at was having more ball movement and more people movement but making sure he still had the ball at the end of the shot clock and still making plays . . . when he's fresh."

GM for the day trades:

1. The only way I'd do it is for Odom and Bynum.
2. Easily my worst nightmare.
3. Nice but I don't see Toronto doing it.
4. Collison, Ridnour, and Swift are the only tradeable players I'd want from Seattle and 2 of the 3 have BYC status so no dice.
5. I'd want Tim Thomas, Cassell, and Williams for Marion. Not good value though.
6. Replace Collins with Brewer or Millsap and I'd do it.
7. I'd do it.
8. I really don't see what Denver would want with Marion.
9. I really don't want the filler that would come from Detroit to make a Prince trade work.
10. no one else would but I'd like Daniels, Granger, and Murphy. I really think Murphy would be worthwhile in our system. I'd do your trade too though.
11. no thanks
12. Marion for Simmons, Gadzuric, and Yi. Never gonna happen though.
13. Smith is the only player I want from Minny.
14. Nachbar is the only player that might get minutes with our current depth unless you bench Hill.
15. They won't give us Chandler.
16. I'd rather do Marion and Banks for Jamison and Daniels

And the trade I want most: Marion to Portland for Aldridge, Rodriguez, the rights to Joel Freeland, and Lafrentz. Aldridge and Amare could be a terrific pairing, Rodriguez would be awesome if he gained some control, Lafrentz's contract would expire soon and Freeland could be a dirt worker par extraordinaire given the chance (his summer league performance was very good).
