Do the Suns even consider the Lakers a rival? I think the Mavs and Spurs are more of a rival. The Lakers would actually have to eliminate us in the playoffs to get consideration. |

I wouldn't hang your hat on your two years of success.
Historically, I'd say the Suns are more of a rival to the Lakers than most other teams. Definitely more than Sucto. And the way Phoenix fans get all flushed and jittery when the Lakers are in town shows that yes they do think they are a rival. Plus, you do the beat LA chant...hilarious.

the Lakers aren't on our radar - we beat them with half a team last year after spotting them a 3-1 lead, kicked the crap out of them this year and they didn't even make the playoffs three years ago.
the Suns rival is the Mavs and we're the Spurs bitch. There's really no other team in the "rivalry" mix.
