I thought Lakers fans don't consider the Suns a rival?
Do the Suns even consider the Lakers a rival? I think the Mavs and Spurs are more of a rival. The Lakers would actually have to eliminate us in the playoffs to get consideration.

Do the Suns even consider the Lakers a rival? I think the Mavs and Spurs are more of a rival. The Lakers would actually have to eliminate us in the playoffs to get consideration.

Historically, I'd say the Suns are more of a rival to the Lakers than most other teams. Definitely more than Sucto. And the way Phoenix fans get all flushed and jittery when the Lakers are in town shows that yes they do think they are a rival. Plus, you do the beat LA chant...hilarious.

I begrudgingly accept you as rivals these days because you've beaten us in at least 4 playoff series. 3 of them in heartbreaking ways. But you are waaaaaaaaaay down there on that totem poll.
But I like to poke fun at you. However, I was shocked when a lakers.com poll put the Suns on the top of the rivals list. Really shocked. People with no sense of history, I guess.

or just people that actually live in the present, rather than basking in the past. that's what it looks like to me.
the Lakers aren't on our radar - we beat them with half a team last year after spotting them a 3-1 lead, kicked the crap out of them this year and they didn't even make the playoffs three years ago.
the Suns rival is the Mavs and we're the Spurs bitch. There's really no other team in the "rivalry" mix.
