Since Atlanta is no where near the cap threshold arent we allowed to trade Marion there for like the number 3 pick in the draft and Josh Smith?

I mean the salaries on teams that have a low payroll dont have to match that of a team that is near the salary cap isnt that correct.

Then the Suns have a decent Small forward a number 3 pick and plenty of cap room.

Atlanta would be STUPID to do that trade. teams with cap space arent around to accommodate us.

they lose a lotto pick
give up a 21 year old with tons of potential
AND kill all their cap space to go after a FA this summer

they EASILY so no....this would be a HUGE step backwards for them
