Coro: Marion for Rasheed a possiblity...
http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...2suns0612.html
Also mentions the boston possibility.
Rasheed is insane, but I would love that move. He is what we need. An athletic big with a post game, an outside game, can guard (gives duncan trouble), you have to make that move.
Going the great character route might need to be altered. Plus rasheed was under control enough to win a title.

Rasheed for Marion straight up is a no go imo. They would have to add in #15 and we could add in #29 or something

bell = rip?
i don't think so..
rip is an underrated defender and a great scorer..
his dribble pull-up inside the FT line is deadly

Bell is an all defensive 1st team and has the most 3 pointers made in the league.
I recant

I really loathe Richard Hamilton.
It has been years since you got smacked in the face. Take off the freaking body armor and play the game. He uses the face guard to get up on people and take elbows and the like.

you know what the reality is... The more I think about it the more Im conviced we are going to lose Marion anyway...
With so much turmoil in the locker room, media, and his alpha dog complex, Marion is NOT going to sign with phoenix when he can opt out next year.....
I'll be the first to admit, I want to see Marion traded, if only because he's not going to be around anyway... if we have a deal on the table where we could get younger and deeper, (ala the Boston trade) I think it is a no brainer for the suns, trade him while you still can, get a stud like Brewer, Splitter, sign hill and go into next year with a rotation of
PG: Nash/West/Barbosa
SG: Bell/Barbosa
SF: Hill/Brewer/JR
PF: Diaw/Splitter
C: Amare/KT
This lineup is both young and deep, with veteran leadership (Nash, Hill, KT) young stars (Barbosa, Amare, Brewer) and solid role players (West, JR)... it is a complete team and one that could compete for a championship for the next 5 years, rather than trading for rasheed and hoping for a championship the next 2 years....

I wouldn't say Bell is better than Hamilton, but he is probably better for this team. Bell is a far, far better 3pt shooter and the philosophy of this offense is to spread the floor. The Suns need more good 3pt shooters, not less. Hamilton also costs a few million more than Bell.
Marion for Rasheed doesn't make much sense to me, but would certainly explain why the Suns worked out Crittenton who is projected around #15. Yound Rasheed was my favorite low post player, but I wonder if he can help the Suns that much now (in comparison to Marion).

I think Sheed would help this team.A rotation of Sheed & KT pluss Amare vs the Spurs is alot better than what we have had yet.
If we trade Marion for Sheed, maybe we swap draft picks to help with depth & add Grant Hill we are IMO Golden to make a good strong run at a championship.

I can't believe the Suns are even considering Rasheed Wallace. That has disaster written all over it. I hope there is nothing behind these rumors.

Fans seem to be hot & cold on Sheed. I agree he has been a hot head. But He has been a great team mate everywhere he has been.
I think a roster of:
Nash/Barbs
Bell/Barbs
Hill/JJ
Amare/Diaw
Sheed/KT
Is as deep & talented as we have ever been. We have good size & a balanced roster. I would be very happy to go into next season looking like that.

I think Paul Coro reads these boards. There's too much coincidence in his writing not to.

IMHO, trading Marion for Sheed is a classic "lose - lose" deal.
How are the Pistons going to use Marion? He's not getting any minutes at SF and his value at PF comes only in warp speed offense. Does this sound like Flip Sanders?
From a basketball standpoing Sheed might make sense for the Suns, but from a temperment standpoint he'd be a disaster. Sheed is a classic loose cannon who needs very strong supervision and D'Antoni has a mostly laissez faire style. Remember this is the same Sheed that threw a basketball at a teammate in Portland and was given away due to that and other lockerroom problems. Of course his tendency to get WELL DESERVED TECHNICALS is legendary.
