Kind of hard to believe. Maybe its wishful thinking and maybe its just we were willing to part with either of them for the #1 pick, which would be OK.
Also, Portland is said to be hot after Marion. They have too many PF's with Randolf and Alderidge and Oden on the way to play center. They need a qualify SF.
I don't see how they could offer us cap relief.

Portland would have to give up something good for Marion for the Suns to pull the trigger. I know they want to save money, but they also don't just want to ship him off for nothing.
I would love Hafey's trade, and it actually makes sense (at least for the Suns and Blazers). I guess the question is would Chicago give up two young prospects for Randolph?

A better question would be to ask if CHI would give up two young prospects for a frontcourt of Deng-Randolph-Wallace. I think the answer would be a resounding "Yes!". BTW, I would not be opposed to including #24 and #29 to make that trade happen. It looks that damned good to me!!!
Oh, and just to brag on myself a bit, I wanted the Suns to trade Marion for s&t Tyson Chicken and their #1 last year (Thomas). I got booed off the board, but could you imagine having a frontline of Thomas-Stoudemire-Chandler?!?!?!

There was one little comment about Amare being available. It's crap. The media here would probably find out about that first.

I guess trading is Amare and Marion is "tweaking" for hoopsworld...
Didn't Kerr say he will only tweak the roster and not overhaul it? Sometimes these rumors go way overboard...

Well, there's also a blurb on ESPN with Chris Sheridan about Marion to Detroit for Rashweed and Prince. Sheridan said that the Pistons would be willing to do something like that but it would be Amare for Rashweed and Hamilton. Got me thinking about all the rumors going around.
What about something like this:
Pistons get: (out: $22,290,000 in: $17,148,000)
Amare $13,260,000
Banks $3,888,000
#24 pick via Suns
#37 pick via Blazers
Blazers get: (out: $14,550,733 in: $16,440,000)
Marion $16,440,000
Bulls get: (out: $11,481,758 in: $14,550,733)
Randolph $13,333,333
Jack $1,217,400
#29 pick via Suns
Suns get: (out: $36,492,000 in: $33,771,758)
Rashweed $12,540,000
Hamilton $9,750,000
Duhon $3,248,000
Thabo $1,805,160
Kryhapa $1,928,598
PJ Brown (S&T) $4,500,000
#9 pick in 2007 via Bulls
