Andre Miller

Seems that Philly is looking to deal him. He would be a good backup PG and perhaps you could occasionally put Nash at SG with Miller at PG. The Suns are horrible when Nash is out, so Miller would help a great deal in that department.

I don't think it would be a great idea and I'm not even sure Philly would do it but I would like to see what you guys think. I think this is a little different than the usual trade scenarios.

Trade Breakdown
Change in Team Outlook: -0.1 ppg, +0.1 rpg, and +2.5 apg.

Incoming Players

Andre Miller
6-2 PG from Utah
15.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 6.1 apg in 35.7 minutes
1 more year left after this season

Outgoing Players

Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV
3.7 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 1.2 apg in 10.9 minutes
3 more years left after this season

Raja Bell
6-5 SG from Florida International
11.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.4 apg in 34.4 minutes.
2 more years left after this season

We dont need a 9 million dollar backup PG. He would start on 90% of the teams out there. Not even sure why theyre looking to move him, he has been doing great this month.

Miller would start on 26 of the 30 teams?

His salary would be high for his minutes (20-25 / 35+ when Nash injured), but his contract will end in a year and Banks plus Raja might seem pretty costly in 2 years. I don't want to spend draft picks in those years to get rid of them. Not saying Raja is bad by any means at the moment.

I really think giving Nash the chance to recover from injuries without automatically losing every game would be beneficial.

Raja + Banks + ATL pick for Dalembert would be nice but I'm sure that would be a pipe dream.
