Amare next to go?

In my mind, if the Suns were gonna go the route of Shaq, why not have done a trade with Chicago. They could have gotten a similar player, yet shorter, in Ben Wallace. However, with Shaq coming here in this trade, the Suns are one player short of minimum roster spots. A deal with Chicago would be fabulous for this team. Yes, we have to trade 2 more players that are starters for us though. However it brings us more depth and just as dangerous if not a lot more dangerous overall.

Here we go.

Suns trade: Amare, Raja, and Tucker (we keep the Atlanta pick)
Chicago trades: Deng, Hinrich, Smith and Sefalosha

Yes we lose a young beast in Amare, however we get better in the following ways:
Defensively
Rebounding
Younger
Deeper Bench
We get a good replacement for Marion in Deng, a great back-up for Nash in Hinrich, a good veteran big in Smith and a young defensive all purpose guy in Sefalosha.

Depth:
Nash/Hinrich/DJ
Hill/Barbosa/Pike
Deng/Sefalosha
Diaw/Smith/Marks
Shaq/Skinner

It gives Chicago that big post player they've been pining over.

A deal with Charlotte who the Suns have had contact with in trying to get Emeka before taking the Shaq deal is another possibility.

Suns Trade: Amare/Tucker/Strawberry/Atl pick
Bobcats Trade: Wallace/Emeka/McGinnis

Depth:
Nash/McGinnis
Bell/Barbosa
Wallace/Hill
Emeka/Diaw
Shaq/Skinner

Or maybe even a deal with Philly

Suns trade: Amare
Sixers trade: Daly/Iggy

Depth:
Nash/DJ
Raja/Barbosa
Hill/Iggy/Tucker
Daly/Diaw
Shaq/Skinner

Of course not, Amare is the one this team builds around.

-Amare is the one who recruited Nash
-Amare is the one who talks to Shaq
-Amare is the one who we will built the next team around when Shaq, Nash and Bell all come off the books in the same year
-Amare is Sarver's "guy"

PS: These trades are piss poor anyway.

Amare is 3rd in PER in the league, he is healthy for a long time now and is playing his most efficient season.

Only problem is that Chicago will not part with Deng. They would not do it for Kobe and will not do it for Amare.

Stupidity on their part, Deng isn't that good and that trade is certainly not enough to get Amare AND Raja.

Trading Amare after you obtain shaq would be like castrating yourself after Scarlet Johansson asks you to marry her.

Now apologize to this board for bringing it up.

Amare isn't going anywhere.

4 out of 5 stars. I find a ton of other woman more attractive then Scarlet. Point well taken though.

Using the new ESPN Trade Machine (gives winning percentages of trade) I went back through my proposals to include current roster of Shaq here.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/trades/trademachine

Chicago decreases -2.44% to 33-49 while Suns decrease -24.39% to 35-47 record

Bobcats increase +18.29% to 43-39 and Suns decrease -28.05% to 32-50 record

Sixers increase +3.66% to 39-43 and Suns decrease -25.61% to 34-48 record

I'd trade LB for Deng straight up, are you kidding? I am an LB fan, but deng brings good offense and long armed defense.
