3-way? Suns/Sonics/Cavs

The Cavs want more front court depth and have been interested in Kurt Thomas. The Sonics want expiring deals, more draft picks, and the riddence of Ridnour. The Suns MUST have another player on their roster by Friday, and the would like a defensive 3 and possibly a long term back-up PG for Nash. This deal gets every team what they want.

Sonics get: Newble/Brown/Marshall/2nd rd pick from Cavs via Suns

Cavs get: Diaw/KT/Tucker

Suns get: Gelabale/Gooden/Ridnour

pretty much the same deal(s)...the breakdown from the Suns side is we trade Diaw/Tucker for Ridnour, and use the KT TPE between Gooden and Gelabale. The rest is just trade.

The Suns still get the groomable PG for Nash, a serviceable SF that plays defense and can shoot the 3, and a back-up PF in Gooden. Makes us a better team overall.

The Cavs get better in the front court with Diaw and KT over Gooden and Newble for their run in the East. Diaw would be great with Lebron as a fellow distributor of the ball from the high post. Plus they get a good chuck of cap space this summer with KT's expiring contract.

The Sonics still shed cap space with the expiring deals of Newble and Brown, with Marshall having one more year. They shed almost $5mil in this trade alone, plus they get rid of Ridnour's long term deal.
