I only interacted with Tim on this board, never met the guy in person but his passing has been in the back of my mind all day. It just shows you how powerful the internet can be. Many of us never met Tim except on this board but his passing has affected all of us in some way.
I was not kidding in an earlier post that we should re-name this forum in his honor. Maybe we can have a poll in what name would be best appropriate?
Finally, I don't know the entire KofC story. How long has he been fighting cancer and does anyone know the cause?
It's still kinda surreal for me. I met him twice, briefly, but he was really nice to me both times. It's just so weird to see his name & posts & knowing that his post count will never change...it's all just so sad. He really will be missed.
I really for Tim and his family. I never got the chance to meet him but I did make an Avatar for him a few years ago. I added something on it today. God bless Tim and his family.

Tim was just on here posting away on Wednesday. This board seriously has a huge void now that he's gone.
I'm not going to claim to have known Tim as well as many of you did. For that, I'm sorry. However, that being said, one of my favorite memories of this board was back in the day, when Brian (Harley), Tim and had the "Coalition" where we each took turns trashing Idaho. I still can't think of a time on the internet ANYWHERE that I've had as much fun and laughed as much as I did that evening. From what I knew of Tim, that seemed to be his biggest calling card-- his ability to make people laugh. That makes this whole ordeal seem even more surreal, because right now, there's noone on this board who ever knew Tim or ever interacted with him, who feels like laughing, although that's probably exactly what he'd want us to do.
To everyone, I send my condolences. This guy made a positive impact on a lot of people on here and I wish I had gotten to know him more.
Just reading through this and many of the other threads here, it made me fully come to a coherent set of thoughts better than the ones I put up before.
To read multiple threads and multiple pages of people sharing their memories of KingofCards further shows the type of legacy he leaves behind.
On the internet, we're all at first the same thing-- an anonymous face behind a screen name. Like most message boards, people come and go almost on a daily basis. However, it's those who leave you talking and remembering that make the most impact.
To say that KingofCards has a lasting legacy on here would do the guy unfair justice. To think that a guy who went from being an anonymous face behind a screen name to being someone an entire message board rallied behind and now remembered fondly speaks volumes about the legacy Tim will leave behind.
Hell, this ain't the end. We're all on this big rock temporarily anyhow. There will be a day where this big party will continue. However, in the meantime, let's all raise a beer in the guy's honor. I may not have known him as well as many of you, but this is the kind of gesture that would seemingly make the guy proud.
