Read in one of the sports papers today that Kurt told a sports writer he would sign a contract now as he still thinks the Cards are nearly ready to contend. It is not often we get a QB who wants to stay with us. If he is healthy I am for signing him before the season ends. Would be horrible going into next year with only our 3rd string QB under contract.

I think if Denny and Graves are smart, and a top QB is available they better pick him. Even if we have more need somewhere else. We need a franchise QB, and we need him to sit behind Warner for a year, before we throw him to the wolves.
One bet I would make using my house,wife, and kids is we will not take a receiver. I do not care if he is the BPA. Need trumps BPA in some cases. Depending on how the QB's grade out this year I could very easily see us taking a QB with our first pick. If there is a QB rated in the top 10 and our staff also rates him there why not? You got to get a young QB some day. We have gone long enough using hand me downs. No one player is going to turn this team around anyway unless it is a Reggie Bush who can run in the NFL the way he runs in college. Looking at him today he just does not look like he 6' tall. I just think he is closer to 5'10". I could care less about height but do worry about his 200 lb weight if he is going to carry the ball 30-35 times a game. Still I would draft him based on what I see.
