Just to break up that thread a bit, this thread is for those who will be participating in the ASFN Live Draft Thread.

The first orders of business then to get this badboy started...

A) Date Of Draft/Location

Sunday, March 18th at Red Devil Pizza in Tempe. Red Devil Pizza is located on Southern with Mill being the second nearest cross street. If anyone wants directions on how to get there, please IM me. Draft time is TBD.

You are more than welcome to bring family members along, but please notify me if you are doing so. This will help Espo, Devilfan and myself determine a fair price per player.

League Name:

I'm open for suggestions. I'll also be creating a Myspace page for the league. Please let all your suggestions here and we'll take a vote on it.

Type of Draft:

I'm in the middle here. I don't mind what kind we do. It's you guys' draft.

The three options being discussed..

Traditional (Your typical draft, order remains the same throughout.)
Snake (First picks selects last in Round 2, and so on)
Auction (We all bid on players, everyone has an equal chance at getting player).

Draft Order

Draft Order will be determined by random selection. Our options are doing it the day of the draft, or doing it in advance, that way everyone has an idea when they'll be picking so they can set up their draft accordingly. We'll be doing ordering based off random selection (I'll be doing it out of a hat).

If we go the latter (in advance route) Espo and DevilFan, I'd like to set a date for the draft order selection so we all can go grab a soda or something and do the order selection, that way it's fair and all of the League Execs will be in attendance when it happens.

I'm thinking, the price, quality of food and smaller venue would be ideal for our draft. I'm not one for the loud, crowded places anyhow, and Red Devil's just big enough without being too overcrowded.

As long as there is no Suns home game on the Sunday that probably works out best for me as well. I'd prefer either the auction draft or the snake draft. A traditional draft seems unfair, unless we are continuing a keeper league.

I live in Phoenix, right near the 51 so I would have no big problem getting to where we decide to have it. The Pizza place would be my top choice.

Oh, and Bobman lives in north-scottsdale.

Ok, barring any further objections, the draft will be held on a Sunday at Red Devil Pizza on Mill and Southern in Tempe.

Datewise, that's still TBD.

Ideally.. it should be w/in the first 2 Sundays prior to Opening Day..... No sense in conducting a draft midway thru Spring Trainings when major injuries can happen that can really affect someone's roster beyond what they can imagine.... That would be either 3/18 or 3/25.....

Suns are off on 3/18 and have a road game on 3/25 against the Sacramento, so both of those dates would work-out for green machine....

I live around 7th St. & Union Hills, but I dont mind if it's a long haul since it would be worthwhile...

I'll also ask one of the admins if we can have a sub-forum of this league either in this or the Fantasy League one......

If you are talking February and not March since they both have Sunday the 18th. Honestly we shouldn't live draft at least until Pitchers and Catchers report.

If there is still a spot open, I would love to join you guys for a live draft. Please let me know what I need to do. I live in Central Phoenix but can go to any location and any day (as long as I have a few days advanced notice).

I'm in Mesa, and haven't been to Red Devil for quite some time.
