Will the Cards stay at 26?

I don't think they'll be selecting at 26 tonight. I think they either move up and grab McClain in the late teens or they trade back with some team wanting McCoy/Tebow/Clausen. I'd be ok with either move.

For a second I thought you would be okay with them trading up for Tebow or Claussen. I was going to punch you.

If they move, it is up using one of the extra 3rds.

I don't see them moving up. Hopefully we don't have to move down either. Spoon, Hughes, Kindle or Williams (not likely) better be on the board!!! It would be very discouraging sitting around all night as fans & not coming away with one of our targets.

Thats a big leap of faith assuming an OLB is one of our targets.

Yep, I could easily see Cleveland, Oakland, or Buffalo trade for our pick if Clausen's still on the board at #26. That would be hard to turn down if we still felt there would be significant talent that could slide to the front of Rd 2.

McShay just released his final mock and has Kindle going #12 to the Dolphins, Cards taking Hughes at #26, and Weatherspoon isn't in the first round. Very interesting, Miami is definitely a wild card as they could go any direction but I think they'll end up taking one of the LB's the Cards covet.

I would punch myself if that happened.

You need to drive down to 35th and Shields and punch a couple Sox players to get their bats moving.

It seems they could either move up.

On the pre-draft show they mentioned several teams at #12 or so looking to trade down. They could trade up for McClain.

They could also trade down for multiple picks if someone wants Clausen at #26.

I don't know what would be equal compensation but two second rounders wouldn't be bad.

Question: Has Rod Graves EVER hinted...

that we might move up?? Like he did the other day. I've always thought his intentions are pretty transparent. I'm thinking that "extra arrow in the quiver" (ie; 3rd rd. pick) has the draft team thinking....Hmmmm? GO CARDS!

I vote trade down. They'll likely do that because the following three arent available there - Dan Williams (yes the Cards would take him in a heartbeat IMHO) Rolando McClain or Sean Weatherspoon. Even with the likes of Kindle and Hughes still there id still think theyd trade back into the second and try and grab a good NT-ILB combo ideally Cody and Lee.

Unless a player is there at #26 that the Cardinals really covet, I would love for the Cardinals to move down in the draft. It could make the second day of the draft really special.

I like the idea of having more picks.
