Why Steven Jackson is overrated

He did not step up against "stronger competititon" this year and only padded his stats against the weaker teams:

Take a look: Against such powerhouse teams as Sacramento St, New Mexico St, Boise St, and New Mexico he had all world days, but against the stiffer competition like USC, WASH St, Wash, and Oregon he was below average at best.

8/28 Sacramento St 23att 129yards 2tds
/5 @Fresno State 34 att 128yards 1tds
9/13 New Mexico St 35att 166yards 2 tds
9/20 Boise State 30att 122 yards 1 tds
12/24 @New Mexico 28att 149 yards 4 tds

10/18 Washington 22 att 49yards 0
10/25 @Washington St 28att 85yards 0
11/22 @Oregon 18att 68yards 1td
12/6 @U-S-C 22att 62yards 1td

He obviously cannot step it up against the stronger competititon as 70% yards came against very very weak teams!

this was done to prove that selectivly looking at stats is misleading and biased

Not true. Stats are only misleading and biased if they doesn't support my position.

Are you the same LVCARDFREAK that posted something about Fitzgerald breaking all of Moss' receiving records?

I notice that you left out Jackson's record setting five TD's in his bowl game.

It's the Same LVCARDFREAK that directed a fine epic of Sect 11 and Steven Jackson in a hotel room together.

Hidden cameras.

Yes the same LV that posted stats yesterday showing Fitz in fact did not 'disappear' in big games, yet you chose to ignore that too?

Misleading!

Wow that does suck! He did have some pretty bad games... I would hope he would do better than that against an NFL team let alone a college team....

Jackson is classic big, fast guy with no wiggle. He can't make people miss. He's a big target who will take a ton of hits. I haven't been impressed at all with him, and I saw a couple of his "Good" games.

If you look back at cardfan "I think that was my sign in name" that was my pick!

Jackson,

This guy can play. The Beavs O-line sucked and their QB was very inconsistent. Opponents knew that taking Jackson out of the game was the key... the better teams could stack the box and do that.

If this guy plays behind a solid line with a decent pass threat the sky's the limit. He's a 235 pounder with speed. He will post big league numbers. He can be a better pro than college player and he lit up the Pac-10.

Newsome the OSU WR is a good solid player, Erhuas their TE might be a good second day pick. LB Siegler and DT Edwards should be late 2nd - 4th round picks and solid players.

Shuesters (not exactly a Beaver believer but those guys would look good in Red.)
