Whis was right this is going to be a physical, smashmouth team...

Whis truely is awesome. He realizes teams must have good defenses in order to win. Even though he is an offensive genius he is building this team the right way and is focusing on defense

DE: A. Smith/C. Campbell
NT: G. Watson/A. Branch
DE: Dockett
OLB: C. Okeafor/ C. Haggans
MLB: K. Dansby/ M. Beisel
MLB: G Hayes
OLB: B. Berry/ T. LaBoy
CB: Rod Hood/Ralph Brown
FS: A. Rolle/A. Francisco
SS: A. Wilson/ Celestine
CB: DRC/E. Green

Check out Whis' additions. I love the Haggans pickup and was hoping to get him since mid season. This team really has turned the corner and even if we lose Dansby or Dockett there is no doubt in my mind Whis wouldn't find a replacement to make sure we are just as competitive. It truely is a great time to be a Cardinals fan.

I think it would be kinda tough to be a great D if we really only plan on playing 10 guys at a time.

I included both MLB as starters. Too late and lazy to write both out sorry for the confusion.

You also had Bert Berry starting at two postions (one of which he doesn't play), but we can still be friends.

Yes we can as far as I know we were never enemies. I will fix but am now confused as to whether Berry will be a DE or OLB maybe you can enlighten me....

Looking at that depth chart tells me.. we could really use a safety with one of these next couple picks..

Not that i think Wilson and Rolle cant be good.. but seeing Celestine and Francisco make me ill.. if any injuries happen, we're screwed..

At least we now have 3 legit corners..

I thought this team went down the toilet on D when we started facing injuries in the secondary..

When was the last time we could say that? This is going to be one of the best defenses in the next 3 years if Whis keeps building this way and what's scary is that it is young for the most part.

I think we need to keep adding to the defense in this draft, we need to add at least one more young OLB and another DE in rounds 3 and 4. Avril or phillip Wheeler would look great in round 3 at OLB. How about Kendall Langford, Chris Ellis or Shawn Crable for DE in round 4. The impact RB's are gone in my opinion, keep adding to our weakness, the D!!! Make it a priority to get your RB next season.

Totally agree we can wait for an impact RB next year.

im starting to agree.... charles will probably be gone, and even he is risky. get more corners, and a safety. but i still want taj smith or some fast guy in the 6th or seventh.

If by some miracle we can end up with Godfrey and Crable this draft would be a success.

Me too. I am much happier at the end of this years first day than I was after last year's first day. I am in the extreme minority (Cardsfanmd is the only other person I know of) that wanted Landry.

Imagine this D backfield

CB: Hood/Rolle
FS: Landry/Francisco
SS: Wilson/Celestine
CB: DRC/Green

You're right Syracuse that IS better!

Everyone will talk about our WR combo but we are quietly amassing a shutdown Defensive backfield.
