Whis turns into Scrooge

The Cards practiced yesterday, the Seahawks did not. Good. The team had no business taking another day off after the last two weeks.

Also, found it interesting that the Seahawks were in such a similar position the first time they won the division. They were 8-2 and finished 9-7, losing to the Rams in the first round of the playoffs. The next year, I believe, was the one they went 13-3 and made it to the Super Bowl.

uh, AJ, are you sure about that? The year talked about above was Holmgren's first year as coach in 1999 when they were still in the AFC when they lost to Marino on a last second drive. When they played the Rams after winning their division, they finished the season 6-4, winning 3 of their last 4 and the season before that they had won 10 games and made the playoffs. but they did make the Super Bowl the following season.

I was thinking NFC West only, and didn't google to check my memory. Thanks, cheese.

Are you thinking of the year when the Rams beat the Seahawks 3 times? The Rams made it as a wildcard at 8-8 and the Seahawks were 9-7 as division winners.

That's the year I was thinking of.

AJ, good point about that Seattle team that barely won the division. Its tough getting past the fact checkers on this board, because they are excellent. But nevertheless, interesting stuff. Also I enjoy the fact the team at the very least, practised yesterday while I was shovelling 20 metric tons of snow off my roof. They sure didn't earn a day off either.

That's right. But, this was about Christmas. The Seahawks had another day off, the Cards did not.

Good! They don't deserve a day off after the eggs they've been laying.
