When are we going to sign our picks?
Other teams are already signing their late round picks.
Can we get going on this?
With structured salaries for the first round how hard can it be?
I know the first rounders are always the last to sign, but the late rounders should be easy.
Some will say to be patient and wait, but is that the right way? Being proactive seems better to me.
Is it just me or does it always seem that Graves waits until other teams sign players and he bases his contracts off of those?

Coulda swore things are a little different this year. I think it has to do with that CBA thingy from last year.

No I don't, obviously.
Different year, different rules, and if ever there was a year to ask this question, I believe this year, and at the current time it is justified.
Just because you wanna down play anything with an ounce a negativity is fine and dandy, you are well withing your right but, it doesn't mean the question at hand is not justifiable at this point and time.
As for the "point" you are referring to ? Have the front office show a little pro-activity here and there and maybe there wouldn't be a post like this every year at every opportunity, and patience would be given to the organization. Dunno, that is just me.

As for the actual topic.
Not only are there slotted draft picks, but the salary cap rules are different this year as well.
Throw on top of that, the "rookie pool" is delagated different then in years past.
Urban at one point said the Cardinals need to make room to sign draft picks, and then went back on it, to say the Cardinals are fine to sign all their picks.
I have no idea what the truth of the matter is, because after reading a 2nd-hand rule down of the new rookie poor and how it works I am more confused than before.
The Cardinals should be pretty close to the cap, and if more money needs to be cleared then that COULD be the hold up.
Not to mention the Cardinals LOVE to sign a bunch of players, then release it all a day or two late in one big media article.
So, I for one, am actually OK with the Cardinals taking there time with this situation this year. Since the contracts are, what they are, don't worry about them now. Worry about making sure all the new regulations are understood, and maybe, just maybe sign Campbell to that extension.

It's annoying isn't it. I guess it's just the right of Cardinals fan to meltdown in anticipation of something until waiting to see if it actually occurs.
This isn't your daddy's Cardinals organization, everything will be fine..............

So fans have been saying for as long as I can remember. The funniest thing I saw in looking back for the "when will we sign" threads are all the comments that in 2003 everything was going to be fine and Jeff Blake was going to be a better QB than Plummer ever was.
Heck I was just as bad as everyone else posting that the 2002 draft class had the potential to be a good one.
As for the thread it was usually started in June. The next funniest thing I saw in looking back at 2003 was the first "when are we signing" thread was started by Rugby.

There has been precisely one first round pick signed, and that as of today. I'm concerned if someone misses training activities due to protracted negotiations. Don't see that on the horizon. And the chances that someone will not start a similar thread a year away is slim and none.

Of course. First year on the board, heck that may have been post #10 or something, surprised I didn't start the thread 2 hrs after we picked.
But, anyone could have been as frustrated as many of us were in 2003. That was the year of the collossal trade down for Pace, and Skillet instead of selecting Terrell Suggs.
Back when the defense was lucky to get 20 sacks as a team during an entire season. We still got Boldin that year...too bad we traded him later on only to look for his replacement for 4 years!
......stories like these make me wonder how some can be so easily convinced this organization has "turned the corner" after almost 100 years in exsistence.
