Coaches almost gave it away but what a proud performance. This is a new breed of Cardinals. The bye week is good right now with three of four on the road coming up - GBR!!!!!

Outstanding team effort!

This is a different Cardinals team than any in recent memory. They will not be denied, even when the officiating is absolutely slanted against them, even when the opponent mounts a fantastic comeback, even when the offensive play-calling is too conservative early on.

I loved when A-Dub got in Todd Haley's face after the Dallas TD at the end of the first half. I'll bet he said something like, "Throw the freaking ball will you?" Todd nodded. And Thank God they did open the attack in the second half. And Thank God for Tim Hightower's effort on that critical third down play. And Thank God for Sean Morey and J.J. Arrington and Steve Breaston, and Reggie Wells and Mike Gandy and Larry Fitzgerald and Edgerin James and on and on.

Tony Romo said that was the best defensive front he's played against recently. Mega kudos to Darnell Docket, Bertrand Berry, Chike Okeafor, Travis Laboy, Clark Haggins, Gerald Hayes, Karlos Dansby, Adrian Wilson, and Calais Campbell. Those guys brought it today!

oh, and while I'm sure it's mentioned in game threads, I haven't seen it...the refs took 7-14 points from us!! Can you believe the Cards OVERCAME adversity to win?

Anyone who questions Whiz needs to look at the intestinal fortitude shown in this game and ask themselves if they've seen this kind of toughness out of a Cardinals game in their lifetime.

we overcame the refs AND ourselves... that NEVER HAPPENS.

That's the greatest win in a decade. Emotionally, after all the crap I've been through this summer, I DESPERATELY needed to see that. Physically, it's gonna set my back a couple days, but it was damn well worth it.

Oh my god. That's all I can say.

Usually we would just roll over and die. It's weird, I actually feel.....what do you call it? Hope? I have this strange feeling that lasts throughout the entire game now.

All season I haven't been bothered by 3rd and 7's. I think that's totally attainable--by both sides of the ball. They're playing football like an NFL team.

I'm positively giddy.

When Morey blocked that punt, I jumped up from laying on the couch so fast and screamed that I got dizzy and fell to the floor. No B.S. It was scary but loved the ending. WOW!!!!!!!

lol. i fell to the floor in a ball with my head on my hands, rocking back and forth . . . isn't there some mental disorder that looks like that? my girlfriend, who is slowly becoming a cardinals convert couldn't stop laughing. she was chiding me the whole time for not being more optimistic (i'm generally the one with the optimistic outlook on life and she thinks life sucks) . . . looks like new cards fans have it right!

You need to add Clancy Pendergast's name to that list. We continuelly bashed him for his schemes on this board, but today he came up with a game plan to take away the Cowpies best weapons. A++ today, Clancy!!!

Being surrounded by Cowboy fans at a sports bar in Frisco, TX, all I can say is "GREAT WIN".

It really felt great to see all the cowboy fans suffer a heart break loss, the same thing that has happened to us for way too many times in the past.

I really enjoyed seeing the cowboy fans take the loss, probably just as much as the Cardinal fans enjoyed watching the cowboy fans cry at the stadium.

Just my humble opinion, but this is a bigger win than the 98 win in Dallas.

From NFL.com

It was over when ...
Sean Morey blocked a Cowboys punt in overtime and Monty Beisel picked up the loose ball and stepped into the end zone. The score capped a strange finish that featured a 10-point comeback in the final three minutes by the Cowboys. It was the first time in league history a game ended on a blocked punt return for a touchdown.

My bad! Tony Romo said as much in his post-game comments. Someone asked why it took so long to get the offense going. He said something along the lines of it took us a long time to figure out what the Cardinals were doing on defense. Not only did the defense play with great effort, but the scheming really confused Romo and the Cowboys offense. And we needed that early on when the offense couldn't get out of its own way.

With the exception of a couple of passes in one series, T.O. was basically eliminated from their offense.

I am starting to feel about this team the way I did about UCLA when I realized that HOwland's UCLA wasn't going to quit and get blown out the way Lavin's did. I feel the same way now, Whiz's Cards won't fold under bad calls or adversity the way Green's and prior coaches Cards did.

We finally have a coach who has gotten the team to believe they can overcome adversity.
