Man, great video, Jim...it gave me goosebumps to see the old footage of Wehrli and the old Bush stadium...your Dad summed it up very well..."In my mind he (Roger Wehrli) has always been a Hall of Famer."
I remember one game in particular, it was a MNF game versus the Bears on Halloween...and Wehrli made some amazing plays in that game, including an interception for a stunning TD, as I recall.
I think Roger Wehrli is the best RCB the Cardinals ever had.
Just for fun...the All-Cardinal Secondary (last 50 years): IMO,
LCB: Aeneas Williams
SS: Adrian Wilson
FS: Larry Wilson
RCB: Roger Wehrli
Captain: Pat Tillman, R.I.P. #40.

Had forgotten about how sure of a tackler he was. I remember him returning punts a Mizzou. He was awesome.

The thing you notice about Wehrli in that clip is he went after the ball and tried to CATCH it; not just knock it down.

Thanks Mitch. When I heard the news, I called my dad to make sure that he had heard about it. A great part of my elation was knowing the fact that he was so proud of Roger. It is such great news.
As Kent Somers noted in the Arizona Republic, lots of credit should be given to Greg Greg Gladysiewski, the Cardinals Director of Special Projects. Through his hard work and research, the folks that did the voting were very educated about Roger and his Hall of Fame credentials.
