Unbelievable. I guess it's just not meant to be.
So yeterday i finally obtain 2 tickets to the game. My wife got them free from a Wendy's franchisee in Phoenix. You can't beat free. I go to get my plane ticket, the price is $200 more. No biggie, i have free tix. Then one of my dogs gets an infection.I take her to the vet, $360 later, she's home and fine. No biggie, i have free tix(Club level 35 yard line to boot). A snowstorm comes through today and tonight. No biggie my flight should be OK tomorrow morning. Just to top things off, tonight my wife now has the flu and is running a temp of 102. So, unless this the 12 hour version of the 24 hour flu, we won't be on the plane. The thing is, what's been going on around here is more like a 5 day flu. So needless to say, i won't make it out to the game . She told me to go out on my own, and believe me i'm tempted, but i'll just stay home and be the good husband . So all you guys at the Saturday night meet have 1 for me, be loud on Sunday, and bring home a Cards victory.

Sorry to hear that Cbus.
If the tickets are going to go to waste you can send them to me, a poor fan. I would put them to good use.

we were getting the tickets when we got there. I went ahead and had her call the guy to tell him why we couldn't make it. I would have loved to give them to a Cards fan like yourself. Too bad they weren't mine to do that.

I should have never mentioned my car finding out about me having a few dollars saved.
Sorry about that. But I've been jinxed all week. The most recent being Colt McCoy goes out on Texas' first drive.

You should go with a Friend if Wife cant make it, I just started getting over my Sickness I caught about a week ago and the Flu had me asleep most the time, Your Wife would probably not know you were gone. Just make sure she has tons of Soup, Kleenex and Meds

Hey! CBUS...
I have never been married. My brother has been married for about 10 yrs. now. He's always telling me about how much "sacrificing" is involved...BUT...That it's worth it! Now, I have someone special in my life that could very well end up being my wife someday. I just want to say "THANKS" for sharing a GREAT example of "real" sacrifice! Take Care, my friend. Prayers for a quick recovery for your wife and for your health as well. NO FUN being SICK! Mark in S.C.

"REAL" sacrifice would be Mrs. Cbus boarding a plane and coming out here for the game. Nothing heals you quicker than a nice long flight/flights to AZ.
