"Top Five" with Robert Tate
"Top Five" with Robert Tate!
Reason behind the name…
Top 5 was a nickname given to me when I was playing in Minnesota during my first or second season from Cris Carter, Robert Griffith, and Orlando Thomas. Every time we had a road game I would always dress sharp and be one of the sharpest guys on the plane. Then when we would do other things like go bowling, play basketball or swim I’d always finish in the top 5, no matter what the activity was. So there you have it. That is how I got the nickname Top 5 from my teammates and it is still rolling on and on and on.
With the season coming to an end soon I wanted to share with the fans and my teammates some of my Top 5 lists, so here you go!

I like the way that every time he listed himself in one of those lists, he added a 6th person.
Here's my Top 5 Cardinals games of the year:
1. Mexico City win over San Francisco
2. Win over St. Louis in St. Louis
3. Win over Tennessee at home (got to see that one in person)
4. Win over San Franciso in San Francisco
5. TBD

How do you get on this stinking list. These must be girly-guys who all sat at the front of the room in school and brought apples to the stinking teacher. They look like our starting offensive line. Bring on the bad ass guys list.

Here's the most likely to be FUBAR or wearing a mermaid outfit when he posts list:
1. 100%CardsFan
2. KingofCards
3. D-Dogg
4. Me (Top 5)
5. justAndy/NEZCardsfan
Please appreciate that I included the 6th person . . .
.

Well you're generally going to get a list of 5 people who think like you do, which to me is pretty boring.
For example some of my favorite posters here are people I typically disagree with, LVcardfreak, KOC, Lex, AJ to name just 4. I have favorites that I tend to agree with too, Assface, Conrad, AZCB34 etc but in general if we all agreed on things, this would be a very boring board and most of us would stop posting here IMHO.

You now go to the bottom of my list now Russ. You used to be in the top 50 but not anymore.

Wow, with Tate in the top 5 so many times.. One could argue he is severely underachieving here.

I think not. He didn't exactly have very high expectations when he got here. Did you think someguy, that no one else wanted would break CB records. Didn't we pick him up like week 4 as a FA.

Tate has actually done decent. Had a few key INTs when we needed it. What do you expect from a mid-season signing.

I wasn't expecting crap from him... What I'm saying is... For someone who has himself as a top 5 in speed/ athleticism (and basically everything) on two different PRO teams.. you would think he would have been a better performer no?

I will agree that he thinks highly of himself. Top 3 sport athlete is him? Clearly it's Boldin. How can Top 5 Tate be #1 there? Boldin is about 1,400 spots ahead of him in the football rankings alone.
And there's no way a conversion van makes in the Top 5 cars.
