Tom Modrak-GM

The Pro Football Talk website is reporting that the Cardinals are making inquiries into the possibility of hiring former Eagle GM and current Bills consultant Tom Modrak as general manager. The article also states the Bengals have some interest in Modrak. This would be interesting if the Cardinals were to hire Modrak, since Graves is the current GM. Maybe the Cardinals are thinking about taking some of the personnel responsibilities away from Graves to help streamline his job duties. I think Modrak's addition would be a nice addition to the administrative staff.

Modrak is a proven commodity and would be a great addition to the organization. I think we all know that RG would stay with the team and probably a promotion with a snazzy new title.

Modrak would bring a ton of experience to the War Room on draft day and eliminate the chance of poor trade moves etc.

Maybe they'll rid themselves of Graves or put him back in chage of negotiations.I can't really see this happening with this being Graves 1st year.I don't like the job he's done and would be all for the upgrade but unless Graves has stated that he doesn't want the responsibilities and pressure that goes with the job then it's a longshot.I guess the other possibility is that Bidwill(Michael) has already made up his mind to fire Mac at the end of the year and Graves doesn't want to.So,Bidwill may just decide to clean house altogether which would be the best decision he's ever made.

Modrak would be a huge addition – my only hope is that if he is brought in, there are clear and unified lines of authority

Ferguson was a capable guy – the problem was you had him and Graves reporting to Bidwill – how can you do your job if you have another guy who doesn’t report to you also doing some of your job.

We cant have one of these Graves and Modrak as peers kind of deals – one has to be in charge.

You're right, making a hasty decision after one year is the way to run good business! Let's fire the guy that finally gets the draft picks in on time and resigns our conventant players!

Tom Modrak would be a good addition, and I bet Graves might be the one trying to get him here. Graves has done a good job so far, just admit it.

P.S. Graves isn't the GM, he's the Vice-President of Football Operations.

I can see this thread turning into a real hot one...
