My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Jim. I hope to read you on this board, that you created, for many years to come.

But Jim, if that is not what happens, and your times comes earlier than ours, please remember all the lives you touched and the love you shared.

Happy Trails, friend.

Jim, I hope, pray and fully expect you to be posting here for some time to come.

In the meantime, I would like to say THANK YOU for creating a place for fans, worldwide, to discuss, commiserate, and celebrate all things Cardinals!

It is my pleasure to be a part of ASFN.

Skkorp:

As Andy Dufresne wrote to Red (Shawshank Redemption):

"Hope is a good thing, Red. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."

Here's my prayer that you will do like Dufresne did...crawl through five football fields of sh%^ and come out clean and smelling sweet on the other side!

Hang tough and get through it, pal. There's no way we are going to the playoffs without our Captain. Rage on, Captain, rage on!

You know, I never read the stickies (I realize that makes me a bad poster), but something drew me to this one. And what was it that drew me? The word "Family." Skorp, you certainly begat a weird, bipolar, but mostly caring family. Really, an unbelievable feat in my eyes. Rarely, if ever, have I witnessed so many people caring about so many other somewhat "strangers" (and I use that term loosely - but let's be honest, many of us wouldn't know one and other if we passed on the street). The bonds that have been created on this board, the actions taken supporting one and other, and even the fights, tirades, and rivalries nurtured on this board are all indicative of a true family (as dysfunctional as it often may be).

And we owe this family to you, Skorp. So as with all strong families, know that you have all of our love, strength, and spirit. A very heartfelt thank you for providing us with what we now send back your way . . . a bit of life.

WHOOPS - This is Ouchie . . . I didn't realize that I was logged on as Cheesebeef. We are both at our parents for the holiday season. That said, I am sure that Cheese echoes my thoughts. We were actually just speaking of you yesterday at the game and saying how much we enjoyed our give and take with you, and actually appreciated you, even if you didn't always feel the same . . . . (us Darksiders know we're difficult to love).
