Titans game a tipping point
Skkorp called the Carolina game a “watershed game,” and he wasn’t far off. But I think the upcoming game against Tennessee is the season’s true tipping point.
With two weeks to prepare, the Cardinals get a home game against a 2-4 Titans team that is coming off a tough loss to the Bengals, has to travel from the east coast to get here, and has now lost their leading receiver indefinitely to injury.
This is as winnable a game as the Cards have left on the schedule, excepting only their away games at San Francisco and Houston in weeks 13 and 15 respectively. And if this team doesn’t turn around their season before then, those games are gonna be played with the #1 pick in the draft on the line.
The Cardinals have to win on Sunday if they hope to salvage anything from this season. With another loss, a 1-5 Cards team may just as well start planning for next year.

Yeah, I was hoping the Hags would start tumbling back to earth, but it looks like they're handling business. We can't afford a L here if we hope to stay in shouting distance.

The season is most likely over given our inability to pick up 1/2 yard on third and fourth down. More often than not we can't do it. A team that can't get a half yard on 4th down at least fifty percent of the time isn't going to win many games. Five would be my ceiling.
This is a significant game if we lose. If so, we are done this year. Period. Its not a watershed game if we win. We could win this and still easily have an awful season. Even if we blow Tennessee out (which doesn't seem likely) I'd still say we are a long shot to go 8-8.

We don't win this game, then this season is completely over..no hope for anything but a high draft pick.

I agree with Skorp the tipping point done tipped.

This season isn't over until Dennis Green recieves that official letter saying that the Cardinals have been mathmatically knocked out of the playoff's. Until then, this team has to fight tooth and nail to stay alive.

The season isn't over until the Cards play the Texans when Arizona will probably have the opportunity to spoil Houston's 0-16 season and ruin Jim Rome's tour stop.

If we lose this game we will be lucky to hit 4 wins. My prediction will be 3-13.
If we win this game we might be lucky to hit 5 wins. My Prediction will be 4-12.
Either way our season is pretty much in the tank.
Tennessee - Toss Up
@ Dallas - Loss
Seattle - Loss
@ Detroit - Toss Up
@ St. Louis - Loss
Jacksonville - Loss
@ San Fran - Toss Up
Washington - Loss
@ Houston - Toss Up
Philly - Loss, Probably a bad home loss
@ Indy - Horrible pounding.
In my opinion, this is our last somewhat winnable home game.
You know the season is in the crapper when you can't even list the Houston game as a win.

1DS:
Depends on your definition of “over,” I guess.
I agree that the playoffs are almost certainly out of the question. So what? Anyone who sincerely believed that this Cardinals team would still qualify for the postseason--let alone win their division—after being spanked in Seattle was either delusional or an overly-devoted fan. Too many holes, too many injuries.
That doesn’t mean that there aren’t still achievable goals for this year. Equaling or exceeding last season’s win total would a good one to shoot for. And a convincing win against the Titans could be the first step.
But I agree that a loss to Tennessee, with games against division-leaders Dallas and Seattle next on the schedule, has the potential to pull the plug on the season. So let’s hope that the Cards bring their “A” game on Sunday.

If we play well, 4 of our next 5 are winnable games:
We can beat Ten, Seattle does not play well in the desert, we can beat Detroit, we can beat Stl.
The only sure bet loss (IMO) is Dallas in Texas Stadium, we never play well there in regular season.
We could concievably be 5-5 after 10 games
after that:
Jacksonville - Loss
@ San Fran - Win
Washington - Toss UP
@ Houston - Win
Philly - Loss, Probably a bad home loss
@ Indy - Horrible pounding.
If we play well, 7-9 or even 8-8 can happen.
If we lose this week, it thing 3-13 or 4-12 is a pretty safe bet.

Philly will also be a horrible loss if they decide to play their starters. There is a possibility that they won't, same with Indy.

All that's left is to try to improve on last year's 6 wins, work on run blocking, and find out if Kurt Warner or McCown can play well enough to start.
Denny Green needs to quit playing cute about a starting qb. Choose one and ride him for long enough to find out if he can play. If we start jumping back and forth between qbs it will make a bad year worse.

IMO with a bunch of If's....We could still win 7 of the last 12 . That would give us 8-8. Games I see us competitive in include Titans, Rams,Niners, Jaguars, Texans, Dallas and the Skins or the Lions. Yes a lot depends on a lot of things going right for a change.
O-line staying together
Getting JJ or Shipp giving us 85-100 per game
Making a desicion at QB...I don't care as long as they are moving the team you can spell it Warner or McCown.
DEfense line holding up with less rotation
Corners able to stay healthy
Yes a lot of if's...BUt...we have some very talented players we should have won two more games than we have. Two games that close. Win 7 at of 12???
