Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know of some of the Veterans Day activities planned for Sunday's game.
During our pre game show (12 noon, KDUS 1060 AM, Cards Radio Network), we have dedicated an entire segment to Pat Tillman and other Veterans. This segment it scheduled for just after 1pm. There is a seven minute radio feature that is focused on Tillman's story, from the 9-11 attacks and his enlistment, to his tragic death and emotional memorial service. I encourage you to listen if you can.
Pat and Kevin Tillman
Pregame:
The Phoenix Police Honor Chorus will perform a tribute song for veterans who will be on the field.
The Luke Air Force Base color guard will present the colors.
A 40-second in-stadium video will be shown and includes comments from
Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer, who played with Tillman at Arizona State and with the Cardinals.
There will be a flag unfurling on the field.
The Tops In Blue, a group of six active duty Air Force members from around the country will sing the National Anthem.
F-16 jets from Luke Air Force base will do a flyover shortly before kickoff.
Halftime:
The 36th Army Band from Ft. Huachuca will perform.
A two-minute Cardinals video tribute to Pat Tillman and all veterans will be played following the halftime performance.
Also, don't forget about the food drive. Wives of Cardinals players and front office members will be stationed at points of entry around the stadium through the first quarter. This is the time of year when the food banks struggle to stay stocked so bring what you can!
Enjoy the game and don't be afraid to bring a headset to listen to Dave Pasch and John Mistler while you are at the game!
