Last May, before I tackled “Strongman Hill” with Suggs and two other NFL players, I asked him about his alma mater’s controversial decision not to award President Obama an honorary degree in conjunction with his commencement address. “Yo, come on, we’re Arizona State,” Suggs said incredulously. “They wouldn’t give him a degree. Really? I mean, even if they offered him one, he should’ve been insulted. He’d be like, ‘I went to Harvard.’ I mean, come on – I barely went to class, and they passed me. It’s Arizona [expletive] State!” None of this has anything to do with the Ultimate Mock Draft, but it cracks me up every time I think about it.

When I play rock, paper, scissors, I keep a glass of water in my hand and when my opponent throws down I throw the water in his face and say "Water". Beats all three, scissors can't cut-it, paper dissolves and the rock sinks. Plus it usually surprises the hell out of them.

I go to ASU and I'm guessing you did/do as well, don't deny it. How many ASU football players have you seen on campus? I'm a junior and my answer is a handful and none of them were notable players. That quote cracked me up.

Deny what? That most athletes who go to ASU, or for that matter any other major university outside Notre Dame (and a few other exceptions) don't give a damn about their education? Shocker of the century, color me surprised!

Bottom line is, major program athletes at ASU, like athletes at most other schools play by different rules than the general student population. Suggs may have passed without going to class, but unless you're an athlete, I'm guessing you're part of the 50% of the class that drops out.

In addition, it's hilarious that Terrell is discussing the merits of an ASU degree, considering he doesn't even have one. Perhaps he can have one bestowed on him without merit as well, that's about as close as he'll ever get to it.

I would puke until I killed myself if the best player we could draft is a situational pass rusher. We need a franchise player.

Our own Darnell Dockett and Suh are available and I would run to the podium for either of these two of Suggs.
