Roster Size
Guys with the roster going to 90 for camp has it also grown from the 53 for active in season rosters? If so I can see us carrying four TE without thinking about it; Heap, King, Housler & Dray. Anyone know the gameday roster size and if the practice squad had expanded?

Honestly, Reddog, it would not be smart to keep 4 TEs. Yes, we are going to throw more to the TEs this year---but we are still more of a WR oriented offense---thus we will most likely keep 6 WRs and 3 TEs.

Remains 53, but the game day roster is now 46.
(replaces the former 45 plus emergency QB of the past)
So, if you had a third string QB who ran Wildcat formations you could use him as part of the total game day lineup)

I'm sure someone more in the know will speak up but it is my understanding that the only change was the 3rd QB is no longer listed as "emergency" QB, he is active and can be used for whatever whenever during the game. So the list of game day inactives has gone down by one.

Mitch I suspect that will change. This offense and Kolb are much more likely to be ballanced and lean more on a running game (see Williams R2). The lack of urgency to add a true #1 and seemingly unfazed by Breaston's departure, picking up King, drafteing Housler where they did and continued talk of heap tells me there is a shift happening. A TE group that can be physical and block and also stretch the seam is where we are going. Thats a great option for a QB and a team thin at OT. If we only go three I would take, King, Housler and Heap and hope Dray makes it to the practice squad but I would keep four TEs.

There's no requirement to have 3 QB's on game day. The 46th position is open to whatever, whomever.
