Rosenhaus visits Cards (6/9)

Agent for Boldin, Dockett stops by

The Arizona Republic
Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for wide receiver Anquan Boldin and defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, dropped by the team's Tempe training facility Monday amid rumors that something might be cooking regarding possible contract talks for the two disgruntled players.
There probably was more smoke than fire, however, on that front.
Both Boldin and Dockett are under contract and expected to report to training camp next month despite reportedly being unsatisfied with their present deals.
Rosenhaus, who also represents a handful of other Cardinals, was busy talking to defensive back Antrel Rolle after workouts Monday and was unavailable for comment.
However, he apparently stopped in to speak informally with Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves and seek out head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Graves did not return a phone call seeking comment.

Much ado about nothing, but here's a little sensual mental massage for ya:
Drew represents wwaaaaayy too many players on the Cardinals and that worries me. How much will Dansby's contract (IF he gets one) impact have on other clients (like Smith)? They may not play the same position, but I can't help but think being on the same team with the same agent won't play a factor.

a better question is, has Dansby's agent been seen anywhere around the facility?

Pretty much the same as Rosenhaus' visit to the Cardinals... no action!

He'll show up July 14th.

It does not interest me very much because I do not see the Cards in a mood to do anything. I can see us losing Boldin down the road. Sad but that is the way it shakes out for me. Rosenhaus is a tough guy to make a deal with and I think he holds all the cards.

He's an easy guy to get a deal done with. But a year or two down the line, he'll want a new deal, and holds his players out of all "voluntary" team activities.

Why do you think he holds all the Cards, other than pessimism ?
Both are signed for some time, they don't have many options and I don't think any of us expect Boldin to change his behavior. By that I mean he has never held out and I can't see him starting now.

It kind of depends on how you define "hold out". If you don't count minicamps and voluntary workouts, he hasn't.

I also thought he would never miss 4 straight weeks of OTA's no matter how voluntary we want to call it. But alas.....
