the British banter is charming and makes me smile to read it.

The end of this game featured possibly the worst play call I've ever seen in my life.

For those who didn't see. The Saint intercepted the ball and had 1:09 to run off with a 7 point lead. So they do the standard a run the ball 3 times. They face 4th and 2 from their own 26 with 14 seconds left. Is there a single person in the world who would call anything but a punt in this situation? Yes, there is one. And he coaches the Saints.

The Saints went for an intentional safety!!!!!! Brees ran backward for a few seconds and threw the ball out of the end zone.

So instead of punting the ball from their own 26 with a 7 point lead and 14 seconds on the clock, they free kicked from their own 20 with a 5 point lead and 8 seconds on the clock!! The Hail Mary by SD at the end wasn't for a tie, it was for an outright victory!

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a stupider play call in my life.

Not to mention that instead of punting the free kick and getting some hang time to defend the return and pin them back, they chose to placekick the ball with a holder (you can't use a tee after a safety) from the 20 and ended up kicking more of a line drive and let Sproles have a 32 yard return to setup the Hail Mary from mid-field.

I was at the game on Sunday in my authentic #24 Adrian Wilson jersey! It was a really good night and we met some great fans - made sure to hassle the Cowboys fan standing near me in the line to get in to the stadium.

I didn't see many other Cardinals fans though, but I did say hello a guy in a Tillman jersey who was in the beer tent at the tailgate.

Next game I'll be at will be at UoP stadium for some Monday Night Football!

saw 6 or 7 card jerseys. A few 11's and 7's and even a Rolle jersey. Gave each one of them a shout when i saw the shirt. Alas i didnt see you mate.

All in all a good game of football. I was sitting with group of chargers fans (some over from the states) so was easy to get into the spirit of the game.

only down wide was the 'tailgate' was far too busy so meant i had to get 4 beers every time i got to the bar

The tailgate was far too crowded; we did the same and doubled up on beers at the bar.

We had a group of Chargers fans from San Diego behind us and a section of Saints season ticket holders about 8 rows in front - great game atmosphere!

I saw 12 Cards jerseys (well 11 and a rather snazzy jacket)

Last year I didn't see one.

What was even more amazing was I ended up sitting in the same Row as two other Cards fans with another just a few rows in front!!
