With all of the underachieving and criticism the safety position is taking and John Lynch available, is he worth a look for the Cardinals?
I realize his skills and ability probably aren't much of an upgrade over what the Card's have right now but his experience and leadership might make him a good half season(playoffs?) rental.
I don't think there's any connection between he and any of the Cardinals so I guess he's not even on the radar but I would certainly give him a shot if he still has the desire and ability to play. I'm not asking for pro-bowl Lynch either. Just NFL starter Lynch.

Ehh the reason he was cut was b/c he's too old and slow to be anything more than a two down safety. We've got guys who can tackle (if they take good angles), we need guys who can cover.
I think that speaks volumes to the current level of Lynch's play
I agree but relative to each team is how I'm looking at him. I don't know what kind of depth NE has on D but I'm almost certain that Lynch would be an upgrade in Arizona. Maybe he'd still be a liability but I think the Card's should address the position.
Of course, they just cut a safety to pick up a TE so I assume the coaches don't share my concern.

other than AW, who's the other guy that can tackle? surely not "i'll duck my head and throw my shoulder at - WHAT??? - i missed AGAIN?" rolle . . .

Also, if the Cardinals are willing to go with the "attack and punish" approach over "cover and tackle", Lynch would be a better fit in that regard. I think he can still hit hard enough to scare receivers.
