Sports Business Journal: The Dallas Cowboys are seeking to borrow $350 million by Dec. 1, according to numerous finance sources, in one of the worst credit environments in the nation’s history.
The club’s proposed deal would refinance $126 million the team borrowed last year through the now-imploded auction-rate securities market, as well as add new debt to cover cost overruns at the team’s $1.2 billion stadium that is set to open next year, the sources said.
That's just a shame really.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.
Pffft...I wont worry for five seconds about Jerry Jones and the NFL to get something done. They will be sitting pretty and turning a huge profit in no time.
don't come so quick with the 'turning a profit quick'
many of those who signed up for season tickets will be dropping out. This economy is not set up for a huge stadium sell out. I think he might have built a stadium that is TOO BIG to fill. The economy was BOOMING when he planned it...now it's a different story.
If they fail to make the playoffs....look out for a 1/2 or 3/4 filled stadium in the future...
They fill OTHER team's stadiums.. Your saying they won't fill their own?
Economy is pretty bad, it'll have to get a lot worse before that happens imo.
Do you have $10,000 to 30,000 PER SEAT to own a season ticket? Jones is a greedy old SOB trying to get his criminal players and his new stadium built by all his fans and the fans have revolted in buying tix by the boatload. I live in Dallas and the talk today on the air of how he is taking advantage of the normal fans is humoring. I luv hearing fans and media rip the Cowpies, it makes my day!!!
