OK, everyone has 24 hours
Everyone has 24 hours to do all their bitching and moaning and crying and then they need to get over it and get ready for next weeks game. We still have 15 more weeks, if everyone is going to be SOOOOOO overly negative everytime we lose, the season will not be fun for anyone. Sure, it would have been nice to win, but there were some good things from todays game too. Lets talk about the game and that includes the good and bad play. Otherwise we are just yelling at all of our friends. 24 hours....clock starts now.

I'm sure that if there weren't SOOOOOOOO many negative things that happened with our team today, people wouldn't be as negative, man. We had some good points (Quan broke out, Blake played great for a while, Emmitt ran well), but the negatives far outweighed them. Thus the negativity.

I think everyone is being negative because we lost to someone
that they counted on beating easily. This is the NFL, there are no
givens or automatic W's. We should play them one by one, don't
look forward or behind.

I hate to say this, but we played and made "young" mistakes at key points that cost us. The defense lacks the talent up front and in the secondary, but did fairly well yardage wise. The offense, which scared the hell out of me, played well. Just improve. Play better next week than they did this week, and I'll be fine. Penalties and game management issues are inexcusable, however.

I still believe
We are making head way, Boldin looks like the steal of the draft right now, this kid can make plays. Blake had a good day. I still believe we will find a way to win games, yesterday wasn't our day we did everything we could to give them that game, we keep playing that way and good things will start to happen you just sit back relax and watch and see.

This was the first time all year i got to see the Cards play. They actually looked better than i thought they would. They gave up 42 points but most of it was correctable. There was 2 reutrns fro TD's and two short fields for Detroit after a bad punt and a fumble.I liked our offense for once. And as much as i hate the guy,Blake looked pretty decent even though he had numerous game altering mistakes.I won't bitch about ther Cards effort. It was a fun game to watch and they will improve as the year goes on.I still say they win 5 to 6 games at best. But they were fun to watch.

Not Concerned
I'm not concerned that fans are sooooooooo negative when their team loses.....heck at the Ohio State board the're acting like the season is over after a close one with SDSU...and THEY WON!!!
Rams fans are after the head of Martz....how'd ya like to be a Bears or Bungles fan....Stewart has 3 INT's and I'm sure Cowboy fans are happy today as well.
When you're a 40+ year fan like me ya get upset when you see no positives....we've all including myself detailed yesterday's negatives but some good positives are:
(1) We scored in the 1st quarter....when was the last time that happened.
(2) Emmitt has some left in his tank and Shipp looked OK....I even like Anderson so our running game (if we get some blocking his darkside sez) will be just fine.
(3) Boldin makes the receiving corps look much better and Johnson will make those catches...he did that early in his college career but he'll come around....and Freddie Jones might double his pass catches this year.
(4) I didn't watch the game but radio announcers were raving about Pace....the 3 step drop limited his effectiveness against the pass....but they liked his size and speed and the way he tackled.
(5) Having Darling and Mac at LB will help....hopefully help to light a fire under the young guns at LB.
(6) I think this win gives the team a positive lift after they watch the tape....hey we can score some points....hey they didn't beat us we beat ourselves....on the road....against some terrible refs.

I watched the game and saw many positive things but the special teams play was a killer. Few defenses can defend a short field every series without breaking down. I hope this is addressed this week during practices and meetings. An occaional touchback would be nice too.

overly negative for losing to a team that we all chalked up as a "W"? that's not overly negative, that's pure visceral reaction to hot garbage in my book. i had this team pegged for 5 wins. yesterday's debacle was one of 'em. that means i only expect 4 wins now. ugh. and if you think everyone being negative is gonna make the season un-fun, what do you think all that losing will do?

Yeah, I agree with everyone here. The positive and the negative.
There are some things that need to be addressed and I think that we can work them out.
I don't believe we blitzed as much as in preseason and this will probably change in the next few weeks. Because I don't care what name the QB has on his back, you give him time and he'll pick you apart. So getting pressure is a definite.
I say that the Cards play this season like they'll lose every game and just go all out. Blitz just about every down and air it out deep twenty times a game. All or nothing. Hell, what have we got to lose???

Negatives: Shotty special teams play. Minimal pass rush, although our rookies got some pressure.
oh yeah...bad clock management
Positives: Uhh, everything else.
Overall take: VERY POSITIVE...I'm ecstatic
And usually I absolutely hate when the cards lose
We all know that week in and week out our special teams which I believe cost us the game will not play nearly this badly.
With that I guess you could say you can't expect boldin and blake to do THAT well again.
But if blake, boldin, jones, shipp, smith do 80% of what they did yesterday.....
...and we can get some sacks...which I believe we will this season.
and some no turnover play by our ST...we should do pretty well against any nfl team.
even if the sportswriters think our wr's are who? That emmitt is old, and blake is a stop gap, the cards showed them otherwise yesterday...even if they won't admit it...yet.
A few more weeks like this, and we will certainly start winning some praise...even if we are the 'Crudinals' in their eyes.

A few more weeks like losing by over two touchdowns to the worst teams in the league will start winning some praise? From THE ONION maybe.

this is all facetious, right?
week in and week out our special DID suck last year. looks like same old in that department.
and what did the cards "show 'em?" that we could lose by 18 points to a lower echelon team? yeah, the cards showed 'em!
and a few more weeks of losing? praise? have you taken your medication today?
