We're not just going to make the playoffs this year, we're going to win a game or two. We keep playing big in big games like this and the sky's the limit for the team.
The only thing is, we absolutely must have home playoff games. The Away Cardinals are half the team the Home Cardinals are, for sure. Hopefully we can turn that around with away games at Carolina, Seattle, and St. Louis coming up yet this season.
I might be drinking the kool-aid a little, but I think we're going to see a matchup like yesterday again in January. Wild-Card Cowboys coming to town to face the NFC West Champion Cardinals. It's HIGHLY probably IMO if the Cards can take care of business and get into the playoffs.
We have 10 games left. Win only 5 of them and we're 9-7 and probably winning the West. Win 6 or 7 of them, finish at 10-6 or 11-5 and we're looking at probably at least one home playoff game.
Wow, what a great year to be a Cards fan!

The Cardinals only have to win the NFC West to get a home playoff game; if they win enough games to be the #1 or #2 seed in the NFC, they'll get a bye week, too!
Tampa Bay is the team to worry about at this point. Their defense has their swagger back and we all know Warner just doesn't play well against them. Ever.

If we're going to be one of the elite teams in the league, or even the NFC, we have to figure out a way to get it done on the road, especially in games played in the eastern time zone.
We have won one game on the east coast since the 2002 season (we beat league worst Miami on the road in 2004 with a TD with 19 seconds left in the game).

I don't even want to think about the post season right now (too many years of being a Cards fan, me thinks), but it's in our grasp.
IF we sweep the NFC West - which looks entirely possible at this point, it puts us at 9 wins.
That leaves the following home games: NYG and Minny;
And the following road games: Carolina, Philly, NE.
If we split the home games, assume a loss against NYG and a win against Minny, and assume a loss on 2 out of 3 road games, that leaves us with the record of 11-5.
I would be delirious at 11-5.
FWIW, I think 9-7 is good enough to win the Division this year.
We've given up (12) TD's thru the air. YES, I know (6) were in (1) game but still. I'm curious to see if we can land a "vet" corner at the trade dead-line. These are the "small" moves than can turn out to be HUGE!! C'mon ROD!! GO CARDS!!

I think we need a free safety more than anything, Rolle has repeatedly blown coverages the last 3 games. By the way...ONE GAME AT A TIME!!!
