I do agree that we need an end, but I think we just need a pass rusher. Wakefield is ok against the run, though he did regress last year.
I know that Ahanotu is old. I don't want him. I don't want Holliday. I want a cheap rookie that's drafted in the first four rounds that fits that mold. Wakefield sucks. He's a fine backup who can come in on a quarter of the rushing downs in the late summer (which here lasts until late October), but I don't want him starting. Suggs would be able to move to the left side and come in on all downs basically if we get him. If we don't, I figure we'll need a mid-round, all-purpose DE (kind of like what everyone says KVB is [though I have yet to see him do anything but let other people make excuses for him playing below expectations because he's injured]) to play on rushing downs and put some pressure on if they pass, and a late-round pure pass rusher like KGB (and you only need him if Johnson doesn't make The Leap).

You're never going to make the playoffs if you have a regressed undrafted free agent starting at defensive end.

Sweet D, I'll let that pass, since you already know what I'd say.

Krang, I don't want Kennedy to get sacks, I want him to take up two or three O-linemen every down that he's out there, to allow KVB, Bryant, and whatever "back 7" player they want to blitz player to go out and get sacks. Keith Traylor (CHI) only has 3 sacks in the past two years, but I'd rather have him than Bell or Tanner.

This turned out to be an interesting statement, our own Anquan was drafted in 03 (assuming "Mr. Boldin" went by a different name then) breaking some of Moss' records in the process.
