This is an average defense with an average at best coordinator. The problem is that they are the really frustrating kind of average where the defense is really good some weeks and really bad others.

In my opinion, there just aren't enough guys that consistently beat their man one on one in the front seven. The pass rush isn't consistent game in and game out.

That said, lets be realistic, the cardinals have a very legitimate shot at the playoffs if they take care of business at home and within the division. No reason to jump off the ledge after a close road loss to a good team.

One thing I noticed: In AW's call on 910 yesterday, all he kept saying was that it's not one man's responsibility to make tackles, it's the team's responsibility. I agree with gang tackling, BUT it seems to me like the first guy is trying to 'lay the wood', assuming others will be there to help, versus the first guy wrapping him up and the others coming in to lay the wood... seems like most guys on this defense play for themselves first, the team second... (e.g. Dockett)

And the worst part, as Dan Bickley pointed out so aptly today in his column, several of these players think they are Pro Bowlers. The joke is on those wannabes and anyone who buys into their hype.[/quote]

Hey Mitch: Why don't you tell us what you think. Get mad man! I think we need some of your aggression to be injected into the defense. If Defense wins games in the NFL then our defense had better wake up. I would like to know what our coaches really think about our defense? I understand they cannot publicly name names but that was sure a sorry effort on their part. Warner surely had more bruises on his body than the defense.
