MNF without Korn

Kornheiser is so intrusive on the game, I've been muting the sound and listening to the radio call instead. Denny Green has been the color guy for a bunch of them and he's great at it. That gravely voice, strong opinions, and good command of the game make the broadcast very good.

It lags the video by only a few seconds.

Last night, Boomer Essiason did the color. He was not as good as Green (not even close) but the package is still better than that abomination ruined by Kornheiser's ego.

The radio call also tells more about the game than ESPN gives us with their closeup face shots of people on the sideline, switching to a game shot just before the snap.

For a network so good at doing college games, ESPN sure botches the MNF thing.

However, the Steve Young and Emmit Smith analysis and discussion after the game is superior. I never miss it.

Kornheiser sucks because he seems totally out of his element. He sounds like a guy at a party who gets uncomfortable when there is any silence, so he just starts talking to break it up. He brings the whole broadcast down.

Why the producers just can't admit they made a mistake and replace him is beyond me.

I'm considering buying a ticket to see the game just so I don't have to hear that assmunch say 100 times "but these are the Cardinals, they are perennial losers!!"

I've always seen different opinions on announcer, like some like Madden, some don't, same with Aikman etc...but I've yet to see or hear of anyone liking Kornholer.
He is not funny, he knows nothing. He is the annoying girlfriend who knows nothing about the game that keeps interurupting with stupdid questions and then pointing out the obvious.
