Mario Williams

If we don't get Peyton, we should go hard after Mario Williams as the prized FA... imagine what Horton's defense will be like with him hounding the QB. I'm surprised Texans didn't tag him.

Like it! Would make the D one of the best in the league.

Not gonna happen. Gotta get Calais re-signed first before they even consider other major options on defense.

Not enough money to go around.

Would have cost $22 Million to franchise him.

He will go to a 4-3 team.

I am not surprised he didn't get the tag. His tag number would have been close to 22 mill, the Texans were a 2nd ranked D in yards and 4th ranked D in points without him even in the line-up.

A luxury pick up & not a need. Spend that $$$$ on an OT, WR & OG.....and have some $$$$ left over....using King's top 50 FA's I would go Nicks (4) Garcon (23) and Bell (30) or Gathier (12) Garcon (23) and Grubbs (34)...

The Bills should give him $40 million guaranteed and just ensure that he goes there. Completely money-whip him. Who else are they going to spend their dough on?

What stud FA OT's are worth going after? There are none. We will address OL via draft... We may still try to get a 2nd tier OL in FA to build the depth and/or to improve existing pieces (both OT, RG).

Not a luxury pick... we need a stud pass rusher so not to always depend on schemes and rushing by committee. You need at least one such player to lift the pass rushing. And he can play OLB in a 3-4.

We may still be able to get Gathier even with Mario Williams.

IMO, the needs for us in priority:

- OT
- OT
- WR
- OLB
- OG
- ILB
- Punter

Sadly, considering the current QBs on the roster none of those are going to really help the team's record improve. Well except maybe the Punter. The Defense is already at the max # of games they can win for us and what good are OTs and WRs when your QBs can't hit the broad side of a barn?

How is it a luxury pick?

Even if we do sign Manning, it's going to be hard to get past teams like Green Bay, New Orleans, Detroit etc without any top pass rushers.

I would easily place OLB as the top need over any other position on the team.

Skelton will improve significantly given a full off season where he will be treated at least as a potential starter and two partial seasons played under his belt. That is IF Manning does not come to AZ. My bold prediction...
