least painful loss ever

1-played best team in football close, but not so close that you can't sleep because you gave it away

2-played fearsome passrush, star QB walks away unhurt (indeed few to no injuries it seems)

3-magic number to clinch at least 4 seed and homefield drops to 1

4-still maintain 1 game lead for 3 seed

5-JJ arrington plays wonderfully, looks like he will earn carries as RB here real soon

6-cards had very few penalties

7-no major defensive lapses causing 80 yard gains (i said defensive, not special teams)

8-GREAT run defense in against a team that destroy BAL running the ball last week

Cards are in good shape. All this loss tells me is that if they make it to the conference championship the odds aren't in there favor. no big deal.

looking forward to thursday

Nothing like a four game division lead.

I'd have to agree. Maybe it's the whiskey and Ginger Ales but I'm somewhat subdued after this L. Oh I still cussed up a storm the last few minutes, but I've found some time to laugh at the eagles, share a joke with my wife, and call a good friend who's not into football at all. Losing to the best team in football, and not getting embarrassed is in my skewed Cardinal mind, not bad at all.

Not me. I don't feel good after any loss. I really hoped we could pull this out with Jacobs and then Burris getting hurt.

I will be bummed until we beat the Iggles Thanksgiving night.

The only really bad thing about the loss is that, with a win, we had a decent shot to get homefield throughout the playoffs. Hopefully, we can rebound and get the #2 seed with Carolina losing today.

When I was ready to quit watching (in the second half) because the Giants had begun "pulling away" we would answer score with score. AND, as was stated, after all the bad ST play and sometimes sloppy play on O & D, had Brown recovered the on-sides kick that was IN HIS HANDS, we might have taken the world champs into overtime. Baby steps, I guess.......

If we aren't getting a bye I would rather be the 4 seed. Usually the 6th seed is playing their collective arses off by the time the playoffs start. Give me the #4 and then the G Men again.

Of course, I think we could take Tampa (current #2) in Tampa any day of the week.

Tampa would be a nice place to play for a shot at the NFC championship game.

Regardless, I'm stoked for a playoff game at home. We were LOUD today...very loud.

I won't be able to speak in a full voice for a week.

I agree I was somewhat upset right when the game was over, but after having a few hrs to soak it in i'm not that disapointed. We played very well vs a superbowl winner and almost came back at the end. If Brown actually had hands and caught that onside kick who knows things might have turned out differently . But cards have a short week lets come out ready to kick the eagles you know what on Thursday!!!! GO CARDS

i am terrified of this game.
  • Short week
  • On the road
  • On a holiday
  • Against a team that just got dismantled
  • In control of our division, and losing a game that helps us in the NFC standings
  • In PHILLY where we love to meltdown

Whis is going to earn about 1/4 of his salary if we win this game, IMO.

Yeah so true donald i'm also worried about this game the eagles will probally start mcnabb just cause they are playing us. I really hope the cardinals bring a perfect game on thursday if we contain westbrook we shouldn't have to much of a problem but a lot easier said than done. Oh yeah even though Mcnabb is struggling we must contain him also he is still Mcnabb.

We are who we thought we were

Poor run-blocking offensive line and poor cornerback depth and a lousy punter.

And the kickoff coverage has been disasterous in the wake of Ali Highsmith's injury and Tim Hightower's elevation to starting status.

On the plus side is the emergence of J.J. Arrington as a solid kickoff returner and valuable running back in the third down and no-huddle packages. At this point I'd like to see the Cardinals re-sign J.J. to a 2 or 3 year deal.

D, perfectly put my brotha! Add to that list the opportunity for all of my eagles friends and family to call us frauds and roast me unmercifully until next Sunday, and you have a potential recipe for disaster!

I am in total agreeance. I would be MUCH more impressed if the Cardinals were to beat Philly on the road then beat the Giants at home.

However bad they have looked this year this is a TERRIBLE match up for us.

We will see what happens.
