Kiper's First Mock...
I know many of you don't like Kiper, but his first mock is up. I will post just the Cardinals pick. Let me know if I should post the whole thing (is that allowed? I don't remember).
Arizona CardinalsRecord: 10-6Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
I see this position as the second-biggest need for the Cardinals, and Williams is a great value here. Tremendously strong in the lower body, he is a disruptive force against the run.
Interesting pick. I do think we need an upgrade at DT, but think other priorities need to be addressed first. Robinson is a great veteran presence, but I think him playing NT is a bit ambitious. A lot of this depends on how comfortable the team is with our young offensive lineman like Keith and Big Herman. Somers mentioned today that the Cards are still high on Keith, and that he could potentially start at RT next year, with Levi moving to LT. If they are indeed comfortable with Keith, then we don't need a new LT in round 1 potentially. However, I would still prefer a pass rusher or inside linebacker (although I don't think there will be any ILB available worth this pick. McClain will be gone, and though many disagree, I think this is too high for Spikes).

FWIW I don't really like Kiper's board, and he doesn't do much to match his players up to NFL schemes.
The Huddle Report has UCLA DT Brian Price available at 26th overall. It wouldn't be a bad idea to take the BPA at that spot; it's served us well so far.
If you're looking for pass rush help at that spot, people might start looking closely at USC OLB/DE Everson Griffen, who could very well be available.
If you're looking to replace Karlos Dansby, then Clemson LB Ricky Sapp (6'4", 250 lbs) might be your man. I wonder if the Cards are going to stay away from Brandon Spikes; I'm not sure he's smart enough to play at a high level in the NFL.
For sleepers, I wouldn't go to sleep on Iowa OT Brian Bulaga (in the first round), and especially not Arizona TE Rob Gronkowski, whom I think would look great in Cardinal red.

Everson Griffen scares me.
He has that awful tag that Alan Branch did. Work Ethic, and drive, etc., etc.
Yet motivated, and at 280lbs, He would look great on the edge.

I beleive Griffen is a local guy, FWIW.
I really like Brian Price. I don't think he is a nose type player though. However, if he is BPA -- defensive line depth is never an issue.
I think Gronkowski is there at their pick in the second. A player I really like (but feels too risky to me in the first round).

I think NEED dominates if A-Dub is so right and LOS is gone for sure.I'd have loved to have seen a young stud ILB playing next to Dansby as we might get to see now if some of you are right and Channing Crowder gets to play next to Dansby in Miami.
I want that hungry young sideline to sideline ILB the Texans got lucky and ended up with as I would NEVER had taken that kid myself to prove I can't recognize young talent.
The before and after pictures of the USC kid ran me off from believing he was for real and could be trusted.
WE NOW NEED TWO ILB STARTERS.As Dansby's gone per A-Dub.Leaders.I like Angerer in the second or 3rd round as a starter-b from Iowa.Maybe the TCU kid as ILB-A.He might last till 26th since he's not seen as a speedy edge pass rusher.Without a vet in the pair we'll have some major growing lessons to go thru.Haggans will be a good teacher for the young linebackers.
In Whiz I trust. Not Davis.Hope K.Iwebema and C.Campbell have much more room to improve as Will Davis,Cody Brown and G. Toler have to improve.Rashad Johnson must do MORE than improve. He's gotta turn into a butterfly from the catapillar we've seen.
I still want a diamond in the rough unknown speedy wide reciever to stretch the field so we can dump Urban,or at least keep him #5 in case of injuries.LSH's is gonna make a great change of pace wr&rb that will give other teams lb's fits. What an awesome 7th round pick.Lets do it again!!!

I wouldn't be mad at Dan Williams at all. Not a sexy pick, but a worthwhile upgrade along the line.
And Brian Price is a Darnell Dockett clone. No possible way he plays NT regularly.

Dan Williams is listed at 6'2", 305. Brian Price is listed at 6'1", 300. Hasn't the Bryan Robinson Experiment shown that you don't need a 365 lbs. guy in the middle of the defense?
We could always draft Terrance Cody. I like to think of him as Alan Branch, Pt. 2.
I don't know if you've ever seen Darnell Dockett in real life, but the guy is like 6'0", 295. I don't care what the Media Guide says.

Yeah Griffen is a local kid. I watched him play against Cactus (and Cactus was ranked 1st that year) and he destroyed them. Played both sides of the ball. Very very athletic. Can his lazyness be cured getting to come home to play?

Mocks before the senior bowl and combine are pointless. The only thing that stays pretty consistant is draft order.

Dan Williams listed at 327 at NFLDraftScout.
Tennessee's offical site lists him at 327.
Even looking at game film, Dan Williams looks to be about 330+.
The difference between Robinson/Williams and Price is that Robinson can remain stout and hold up in the run game. Price? Not so much. He is strictly a penetrating tackle. He's a disruptor, not a space or block eater.

FWIW, everything I've seen has Williams listed at 327.
