Josh Scobey Should be the Starter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After todays game... it is very obvious that the playmaker in the backfield is Josh Scobey. I've said it in the preseason and now I think the fans need to make themselves heard. we need Scobey's speed and playmaking ability on the field. He's the RB that will force opposing defenses to re-think their game plan when they play us....

Emmitt just doesn't have the burst nor the speed... he's got great vision... but what's the point of seeing the lane if your legs can't get you into it on time....

I think we need to lobby coach Green to get Scobey into the game... he's ready to take the next step NOW.

Scobey needs to start ! Scobey needs to start !

I may have missed this, but didn't Scobey have zero carries today?

If we don't put some speed in the backfield... then our WR's will continue to see double and triple coverage... and McCown is going to get killed trying to force the ball.

Emmitt is far to slow to make any DC gameplan against him. We need the homerun potential of Scobey to keep these defenses from killing McCown and our WR's... otherwise expect some major injuries in the near future ... as Fitz and company get gang tackled everytime the ball is thrown... otherwise McCown will be a punching bag for D-Lineman.

Nothing pisses an O-Lineman off more than when they open up huge running lanes and the RB is too slow to get to the hole... Emmitt is not a starter !

Canuck, Emmitt got all of his yards on 3 carries today. Most of his carries, he was running into a stone wall. Twice, he climbed the back of one of our offensive linemen because there was no place else to go. If we need changes anywhere, it's in the offensive line.

Are you kidding me... Emmitt didn't have the speed to cutrback to the open lane.. thus running into his own lineman.. there were holes and some pretty good lanes to run through... the Pats often rushed less than 4 men and Smith was slower than every defensive player on the Patriots defense... seeing the lane is no good if you don't have the burst to hit the hole....

Parcells was right.... Emmitt was a great player but the burst needed to hit cut back lanes is just not there... defenses recognize this and are blanketing our WRs forcing McCown to run for his life... Emmitt should not be a starter...

This game should solidify that in every football fan that understands the game !!

Your analysis of our running deficiency is right on up until the part where you explain we need a RB that is fast enough to get to the cutback lanes and then you suggest that is JS.

He is fast enough, trouble is he wouldn't know a cutback if it stared him in the face. He is so straight ahead it's scary.

put hambrick on the atkins diet, and see what dropping 25 lbs can do for him, he almost got a thousand for the girls last year, i didn't watch many of the girls games last year, is hambrick any good at picking up the blitz?

True but maybe the rookie Coomer(sp) would.

We had one 'Great' offensive play that showed terrific speed an elusiveness... the player that made that play against one of the best (if not the best) defenses in the NFL was Josh Scobey.

He sees a very limited # of opportunities with that 'dinosaur' Smith parked in front of him... give the kid that makes the play, a chance to play... KSU never complained about Scobeys elusiveness or cut back ability... believe me... he showed amazing speed, agility and elusiveness racing to the goal line... ask yourself... How far would Tortoise Smith have made it before a defender would have tackled him... or how about that 'fat ass Hambrick' ?
these guys are role players but they do not strike fear in anyone...
Even coach Belichek recognized Scobey as the bright spot on the offensive side of the ball for the Cards.
Read belichek's pre-game notes... he mentions the abilities of Scobey as a threat !
That's what you need to get those defensive backs from gang tackling our WRs. and from blitzing McCown.
Scobey made the Pats pay for their blitzing... and that's what we need in the backfield... a guy who will keep defenses honest !

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don
t think he should start, but I'd like to see Croom get a few carries each game.

Running Backs in general, need to be allowed to get into a rythym... at KSU, the more carries Scobeuy got, the higher his yards/carry per game rose... to not have your best backfield weapon on the field as much as possible is like going to war without bullets for your gun.... smarten up... speed kills... and Scobey can kill a defence ! He is one of the fastest players in the NFL.... get this guy the ball.... and point him to the endzone.... it's really not that difficult....

And another thing... a piece of wet toilet paper could knock down Freddie... he's a pathetically over rated and over paid TE.

I wish he'd buy himself some balls... or just go put on a skirt and get a job selling 'Mary K'.... what a waste of talent !
