I hope it is official quickly...He will get mad money this early in FA, Shelton's price will go up, and the Bills will have to overpay to protect their new young QB.
I love it when a plan comes together.
Heck we might even get a higher pick for Clement than we originally thought...a little later in FA.

Closing in on OT Jennings

Chad Pennington's right arm is in a sling.
LaMont Jordan and Kareem McKenzie are free agents, and Santana Moss could be on his way out of town, too. These are nervous times for the Jets' offense.
"I just hope we don't lose too many guys," one offensive player who did not want to be named said yesterday.
The offense is in flux, but could get a quick reprieve with strong indications that left tackle Jonas Jennings is close to signing with the Jets. Landing the top left tackle on the market would result in moving Jason Fabini to right tackle and seal McKenzie's departure.
The defense could lose its top run-stuffer, nose tackle Jason Ferguson, who is expected to draw interest from the Cowboys when the free-agent period opens today.
Word around the league is that Jordan's first stop could be Oakland, which previously tried to acquire the running back in a trade.
"Oakland is a team LaMont is very interested in," agent Alvin Keels said yesterday.
One key hurdle in the proposed Laveranues Coles-for-Moss trade was cleared last night when the Redskins significantly reduced left tackle Chris Samuels' $9.5 million salary cap figure by signing him to a contract that includes a club-record $15.75-million
signing bonus.
Notes & quotes: WR Wayne Chrebet, who heard nothing from the Jets, assumes he'll receive his $250,000 roster bonus and will return for his 11th season . . . CB Ray Mickens also avoided becoming a cap casualty . . . QB Brad Johnson, who could interest the Jets, was released by the Bucs.
