Jeff Thomason - construction worker to Super Bowl

Anyone hear about this guy's story? He played with the Eagles back in 2002 but he's been out of football working as a project manager for a construction company. Eagles called him up and asked him if he would be willing to suit up and play in the Super Bowl to replace Chad Lewis. They are saying he is going to get 15-20 plays on the field. He has been competing in triathlons and stuff so he is in great physical condition

I hope he saved his vacation time..... what dream come true this must be for him He will be wearing #85

If I got that phone call I would think it was a friggen joke....

It was Chad Lewis who actually called him to tell him that they need a TE and Lewis will put in a good word for him. It also wouldn't hurt that he's been in the WCO with the Packers when they won the SB and Reid was an assistant there and played a couple of years in Philly.
