Somewhere in all of this was a comment I agreed with: I think we should get RB JJ Arrington back in the game. If he can play, he can play. He has shown some explosion. We need some speed in the backfield.

While I dont agree entirely with what PA had to say, I do see why so many people get frustrated with these two guys. I said it yesterday when I was upset and I say it again, for all the good they do they have plenty of weaknesses. I'm not here to dog on them, so dont jump on me... But, how long can Warner stand in the pocket without having an internal clock. Kurt, you can't scramble, so you need to know when to get rid of the ball. That inability to be able to scramble also kills so many drives. It really does. Some of the biggest plays in a game are when QB's have to create outside of the pocket and Warner never does... Simply, cause he cant. And Edge cant get to the damn edge to create anything either and his lack of speed hurts as well. He really doesn't really hit the hole hard enough and Grimm and Whiz need a smashmouth, quick bursting, back with speed. Just my two cents...
Can you please have a talk with him and tell him to stay away from NY this Sunday! He all but admits hes a jinx.
He's NOT going to NY this weekend. His daughter is being baptized on Saturday & we'll have family in town until Sunday. Could mean only 1 thing - 3-1 BABY!!!!!!!!
Relax Frances. I did not say we need to bench Warner this week or next week, or the following week. All I'm saying is that if Warner is mediocre (like yesterday), it won't be long that Leinart will get another shot. Warner had a great 1st two weeks & he'll have to remain GREAT to keep that job through this season. Regardless of how Leinart looked in the Oakland game, he is ready to lead this team. Mark my words - the next time Leinart sets foot on the field (unless its mop up duty), he will be a fixture. Bottom line, Warner has to be very good to stay on the field. Trust me my friend - I do get it.
Lol Have you read what everyone has said. The most ridiculous thread of the year. Dude he made 1 bad pass. If he leads Breaston he has a 76 yd td...so his sta would have been like 275 yds 3 td's 0 int's. It got deflected and it hurt. But to say we have to bench him is like, we might as well bench A DUb for not making enough big plays...Sub out Boldin for only getting 25 yds, and while we are at it...lets sit Fitz for a half for dropping the TD in the corner. Did you know Warner still had over 81 QB rating.
I think Hightower should be getting equal reps as long as the OL is run blocking well (if they regress, Edge should get the bulk).
Leinart? Come on. Warner is one week removed from a perfect game. There's no way the Cards should even be considering putting him back in at this point (and I'm a big Leinart backer and would have started him in game 1). Warner has more than proved his mettle. It'd take a lot more than mediocre (to fairly good) game to bench him.
On point.

Did anyone slow motion this to see if it was pass interference? I kept wanting to see this play replayed more than once because I wasn't sure if it was pass interference. Probably already been discussed.

It's not looking that ridiculous anymore, now is it!! Bring Leinart in & KEEP HIM IN!!! Warner will give away more games than he will win. I've been watching this game of football for way too many years to be called ridiculous.

Yeah, I am almost looking forward to the dump off passes from Leinart for 3 or 4 yards compared to a guy who sits in the pocket all day and will only look (and force) to throw passes that go for over 10 yards every play. It is too damn up and down all the time with Warner. You will love him one game and make you basically hate him the next. I have never felt like that about any player I have rooted for. Even with Jake here, I could live with his mistakes because of the fact, top to bottom our teams were just horrible.. lol so you really couldnt always put all the blame on him.
Leinart & Hightower??? Will not matter. This offesive line cannot open holes and they sure as heck can't protect the QB.

But how many lines can completely protect? I am sitting here watching the stupid cowpukes game and Tony Romo is running for his life, completing 15-20 yard passes.. and I think we all know that he has a pretty decent line. So, when you can only protect a statue back there in the pocket, it puts way too much pressure on those guys up front to do their jobs. Which is also unfair, regardless of how you see it, to them. Even Brett was running around back there today with at least some mobility. Not every pocket is gonna be protected, and as a quarterback in this league, you need to have your legs work. Warner's don't.

No line can completely protect. However, you can expect your offensive line to be competant. It's not like this lines problems are not multi-dimensional. They cannot open holes for the running game either. I am watching the cowboys open holes. Even though the Jets didn't run well today, their offensive line opened up some huge holes for the running games at key moments.
When is the last time you had seen that out of our line??? Especially against a good team?? It's not even comparable.

Our D needs to be responsible for much of this loss, just giving up way to many plays and no pressure really on Farve. I mean how the hell are we giving up long TD's on 4th down what the hell is wrong with this D. Warner didn't have a good half but you know what he stepped up his play in the 2nd half and the D continued to play horrible horible football!

Well, I know our line is not theirs. My only reason to respond on this was to point out the fact that when there is pressure and the pocket collapsed on Romo, the guy actually can make something out of nothing. Warner doesnt and cant do it. And to say that our line isn't even "competent" is kind of overboard, don't ya think?
